Isn't it frickin' annoying when you roll up your shirt sleeves and they just come undone? Drives me crazy!
In this video, I'll show you the common (but not great) way guys roll up their sleeves, plus my preferred method which never seems to come undone.
Thank me later.
Hey, what's up, gents?
So, I get this question a lot.
How do I roll up my shirt sleeves?
What's the best way to do it?
There are plenty of ways to do it.
I'll show you a few alternatives, plus my preferred way, which seems to never come undone.
Let's do that.
So, by far, the most common way to roll up your sleeves is...
Let's call it...
What should we call it?
Let's call it the cuff roll.
I don't know.
So, this is definitely, I think, the most common way to do it.
I've seen plenty of guys do it this way.
You basically start at the cuff, and obviously, your buttons are already undone.
You start at the cuff, and you fold up, like so.
And then, from there, you just continue rolling up.
So, essentially, this works.
And the degree to which it works will depend mostly on how wide your sleeve is.
A lot of times in the past, I've found that this just tends to come undone.
Like, as I'm moving around throughout the day, it just sort of unravels, and that kind of gets on my nerves.
If this works for you, then, hey, this is perfectly fine.
It's a very simple way to do it.
Nothing fancy, but it works.
It definitely works.
I'm going to call this the double fold over method.
Honestly, I'm making these names up as we go, so you might not...
If you search for these online, you might not actually find that that's the real titles of these things,
but that's what I'm calling them.
So, this is how I do it.
I take the cuff right here, and I basically roll it up.
I flip it, and so I make sure that the end of the cuff kind of touches the bend of my arm, where my elbow is.
So, you know, you can kind of fix it and make sure it's, you know, all straight.
And then from there, you take the bottom of the sleeve, which is now obviously, like, mid-sleeve, right?
But since it's folded over, you take that, which is around right here, and then you roll it up again.
So, like that.
It might be a little tough, depending on how, you know, snug your sleeves are.
And hopefully you have a really slim-fitting sleeve, so you don't have all that excess billowy fabric.
But this honestly is my preferred method because what I found was that this just never really comes undone.
Like, I can run marathons with this, and it just doesn't ever come unrolled.
And, you know, it's personal preference, of course.
This doesn't have to be the way you do it.
I'm just showing you what works for me and what I think just works best.
So, this is going to be at a double fold over.
Bam, bam, bam.
Yep, so that's it.
That's all I got for you.
Hopefully that was helpful.
And if you have another method that you use and like and you want to share with us, please leave it in the comments below.
