Live & Scenic: Victoria Day Walk Along Toronto's Waterfront | Martin Goodman Trail Lakeshore Blvd W

hello everyone this is Amed Don today we'll have another episode of Toronto live video so we're going to walk from Carnation Park to most likely the Maryland B Park so I'm right in front of car park and this is uh lecture Boulevard West and uh the trail you're looking at is the Martin Goodman Trail so we're just going to walk along this way and uh this is cornation [Music] park right there so let's walk here so it's a beautiful day the temperature should be around 18 17 in that range and I see a lot of people are out enjoying the nice weather and this is the Carnation Park and across the park you can see the waters that's Lake Ontario so just keep walking along the leure Boulevard West and I think I should try to stay on this Trail but uh after about 10 minutes it might put me back on the lecture bllo West so we'll see how it goes so this is Fort York Boulevard where it ends right here lot of people enjoying in the park this is also a good place to exercise and those tall buildings right there that's Liberty Village about 15 20 minutes walk from here so probably you're going to hear lots of birds on the trees very beautiful Pleasant weather uh the sun is not that strong no wind very negligible humidity so that's the entrance to the Canadian national Exhibition Place CN there are lots of events uh going on there especially in the summer and we're going to walk along by it so I don't think anything's happening there today another look at the coronation Park so a close look at the C entrance which is right here let's uh get the walk sign so this is the kind of end point of the carnish park and right after it there's the Trillium Park which also we are going to pass by so it's kind of there the end of carnish Park and the beginning of the trillian Park uh both are very beautiful Park so some people wearing very little clothes but I all always wear a light jacket even in the summer uh except if you're if I'm in a tropical country like let's say Philippines Thailand that time I don't wear light jacket but in Canada I wear some kind of light jacket even in the summer because Summer is Canada is not that like in a strong summer comparing to many other parts in the world and even I noticed that what we call Summer here is kind of winter in many other countries so you can see that a lot of people are biking walking on the trail and here is a nice view of the water and the end of Coronation Park so that's coronation Park oh look at the bike here I mean the vehicle uh the license plate looks like it came from USA I think it's a Vermont so that's a long way to drive to Canada from the USA but a lot of people actually drive to Canada from the [Music] USA so we are approaching Ontario Place so this is where you can run bikes by the hour or by the day so you have to just like you know pay in the app and I can show you the rates on the display which is uh right here so if you buy day pass is $15 per day but the best way to you do is buy annual it comes a lot cheaper and then here is the map of uh this area downtown Toronto uh and we are kind of right here uh you can see that uh coronation Park and then this is the Trillium Park and this is the exhibition place right here which is right uh there that's uh the exhibition place and we are walking kind of along this way and we'll see how far we can go probably I'm going to stop somewhere here because going to be too much work and then come back but I started right here and then I'm hoping to walk up to here so you can see that along the lake uh although it's a lake but it looks like an ocean you cannot see the other side and the other side is USA But many people mistaken this as an ocean if you don't know it's a lake you're not going to say that this is a lake this is very similar like an [Music] ocean incredible weather and you can see this is the beginning of uh the trillian perk although we are not entering the trillian Park but that's the beginning we're just walking along the trail along lure Boulevard West and this Trail actually goes a long way I believe it goes to missis Saga and I'm not sure if it even passes Miss Saga for so this is Hotel X uh okay so we got G Martin let's take a look your videos broadcasting on 348d in the screen it's not full screen it's just Center on the screen thank you for the comment G Martin you are correct this is a vertical live uh I have been testing vertical live for a while and this is actually kind of YouTube's default YouTube wants us to do more vertical live than regular Liv so it's not going to be covering your whole screen if you're watching on a big screen I think this is meant to be on the uh smartphone or mobile devices more than big screen so the reason uh I do this type of video is that uh this reaches more Global audience than doing regular live and I've been testing this for a while and getting very good uh you know views on this type of [Music] video so pedestrian entrance to the bad Wiis stage and let's keep walking this way okay so they put kind of a cover here otherwise we would have a nice view on the other side but looks like they've covered it so let's take a look at hotel X again so the advantage of this hotel is that it has a very good view of downtown Tano and I heard even they have the Instagram Suite which is more expensive and you get a a good view of CN Tower very nice picture photo opportunity so we are missing the view on the left because of the barrier they put I'm not sure where they put it actually after working probably 10 minutes 15 minutes now I can feel the heat and looks like you know the sun is getting stronger the sun came out of the clouds and we have the Stadium right there which is called the Field and I think that's where the the Olympic uh the World Cup soccer is going to be uh I forgot which year but it's coming up shortly so this area is going to be crowded with a lot of people when in the World Cup socer soccer takes SP in Toronto for so surprising to see how many people are walking and biking and you can see the only one windmill in Toronto but it's not moving right now and onari your place looks like the the fence or barrier goes even further blocking the view on the other side so has to be due to the construction so we got the walk had to change my hand one hand gets tired after little after a little bit got so I haven't walked here for a while and didn't think of that the views are blocked by the construction but I think at one point it's going to end so this path is a little bit narrower got to be careful about the bikes I think the fence is going to end probably in 10 minutes and you can see the windmill is not moving so I see a lot of motorbikes you can see a bunch of motorcycles took out there [Music] [Music] so finally the fence ended and the beginning of nice views this is the intersection of leure Boulevard West Ontario drive and now we have the view open on the left [Music] okay I'm moving I'm going to move on the left side I think I'm going to have better View and can see some ships in the distance and the skyline you're looking at this mimical that's like 20 minutes Drive from downtown ton so they have the there lots of new skyscrapers residential condos in that area now but I remember before like 20 years there was nothing then you can see you have a nice view here and CN Tower right there for looks like that's a police boat I see some people arresting here and you have a good view of the windmill but not sure why it's not moving probably not enough wind get [Music] for not sure what park is here but nice place to sit down and stay away from the Heat so you can see there are some benches here to sit down and then on the other side there are chairs tables and a topical is up ahead but I think I'm not going to go that far well that dog has a nice s behind the bike so I believe this has to be the Maryland Bell Park but I'm just looking for a sign beautiful Waterfront beautiful day for I see lots of birs there I see a huge Canadian giz right there they can be very loud so far I haven't seen any signs what park is this but my guess is Maryland Bell Park so we have a comment from Manny prau this is Canada and we are in Toronto right now lecture Boulevard West spe so let's walk a little bit further then we can return and you're going to get different View h for so another problem doing live in a hot day is that the phone gets overheated it and sometime it affects the quality but I think so far it's okay my so looks like there's a nice place to sit down up ahead and and some trees here so I don't mind taking some break oh this guy's doing a lot of hard work so these chairs are positioned properly to enjoy the view and we have the mimo Skyline I have a feeling this is going to end soon but let's see just so I have come far here I think we're in close to Jameson Street or Jameson Avenue rather so I'm going to show you a quick view here and then uphill all the they don't so let's go uphill a little bit and I can go further up and we're going to have a very different view so let's see what we have here okay so look at the view here this is the bridge and I have a good feeling that's Jameson Avenue nearby so I'm going to take a break here for a bit and then I will start another live on my way back to downtown Tano so you guys if you're watching it thank you for
