The Fascinating Life of the Cutest Sea Otters | Our World
#Otter
In the cold waters of the northern Pacific, sea otters float amongst a vast forest of kelp. Here, for nine months, the females support and instruct their growing pup in a world that is rich with food. Violent storms separate mother from pup, and the young otters face terrible dangers, Some lucky pups are adopted by human parents at the Monterey Bay aquarium, where they are prepared for their return to the wild. But as well as being well-known residents of California coast, sea otters are also found in the icy waters of Alaska. Floating below enormous glaciers that periodically cave off huge avalanches of ice, otters face new challenges.
