Same symphony, different conductor: a comparison (Brahms 4, Carlos Kleiber vs Leonard Bernstein) #CarlosKleiber

Today I´ll be comparing two versions of Brahms 4th Symphony, 4th movement, conducted by two different conductors: Carlos Kleiber and Leonard Bernstein. I want to show you how much difference a conductor CAN make, so we will be reviewing tempo choices, frasing ideas, and general gestures to explain why this decisions are made and what impact they have in the music.
Hopefully this will give you a better sense of what a conductor does and why it can be really important!
