Cherishing Childhood Memories, growing up in Southern Germany
Growing up in Germany after World War II, our family experienced a lot of hardships. It's now more than 70 years later after this picture of us three sisters was taken. We are still here, along with our little brother who was born years later. And though we live miles apart and each have children and grandchildren, we have a strong bond between us and keep in touch through the internet. It's such a blessing to have family!
For three years, beginning in 1949, we lived in Hirrlingen, a village southwest of Tubingen where we moved to in 1952. We all went to school in Tubingen, a town of about 50,000 inhabitants at the time with an old university and beautiful buildings dating back to the 15th century. The river is call Neckar. I consider Tubingen my German home town.
