Hello, my name is Stephanie Kilgast and I am a contemporary artist.
Today I am sharing with you a preview to my latest Skillshare class.
This is not a sponsored video by the way, so don't get mad.
As a teacher though, I chose Skillshare because I really like it because it's so user-friendly.
So far I have 10 different extensive classes over there and the last one is all about beetle
sculpting. As usual, if you watched my classes over there, I really go into details and share
everything I know about sculpting. In this specific class I explain how to sculpt three
different types of beetles and two ways to make their legs. It is a fun class that is very
accessible and has lots of potential for you to make something really fun out of it. If you never
tried Skillshare before, it basically works like Netflix. You pay a monthly subscription and then
you can watch as many classes as you want from many artists and creatives. You can try it out
during two months for free following the link in the description box. They might ask you for your
credit card details, I'm not too sure, but don't worry if you really don't want to subscribe after
the two months of trial, you just cancel everything. I really had loads of fun sculpting these beetles.
I actually want to sculpt even more as they're so addictive to make once you get the hang out of them.
But so far I have no clue in which way I'm going to use them in my artwork, so
most likely they will just populate my current works on growth.
I must admit, doing all the watercolor studies and paintings also really helped with this class,
as I've been painting so many beetles this year already that I really understand quite well how
beetles look and that really eases my mind and my creativity. I get so inspired by insects,
I'm really happy to transform it into my artwork these days.
So that's pretty much it. Thank you so much for watching. If you like this, give it a thumbs up,
subscribe, hit the notification button so you never miss a new video and I will see you in my next one. Bye!
