Come with me and let's take a bike tour of Ine in Kyoto Prefecture. Let's go!
Let's start on the east side of the coast.
Our first stop is the lighthouse on the east side.
This is a great place to sit down and enjoy the view.
You can also take a picture with the lighthouse.
Don't fall in during the snapshot.
There are some interesting houses around this area.
Oh, but there's a bit of a traffic jam area here.
This is a good spot to see the Funaya houses on the east side.
There are just a handful of this style of house.
They are exposed playhouses. I don't know why they leave them this way.
Many houses have interesting details.
What will you spot?
This pier is popular with fishermen.
It's a great spot for a nice view and also another great spot for a photo.
There are a handful of good restaurants and cafes in Ine.
It's too bad that they go by their own schedule.
It's always a regularly randomly scheduled holiday as usual.
Be sure to check ahead. Their operating hours are completely random.
Looks like I won't be getting a coffee in my hand pitcher today.
There are a few temples to check out.
This is the larger of the few in town.
Monkeys like to hang around this area sometimes, but today there are no monkeys.
This is another popular fishing area.
This is near the central part of town and a main tourist area.
Oh, just my luck, another traffic jam.
The central area has a welcome center and parking.
This is the most famous area to view the Funaya houses and men fishing in their yukatas.
Probably the most popular spot for a picture.
Starting on the west side, there is a temple on the hill.
There is certainly a mix of architecture in this village.
Do you like sake? Visit the Nihonshu Brewery for the local paint stripper.
It's pretty good.
Farther west side of the village, you will find the oldest building in town.
It's a really nice fisherman's boathouse.
It's a nice piece of history.
It will transport you back in time and you can imagine your life in Ine hundreds of years ago.
On the far end of the west side is another small temple.
And a house that loves hanging, well, strangely enough, blowfish.
From this side, you can take the ferry and tour the village by sea.
But this is a bike tour, so maybe next time.
Thanks for coming with me on this bike tour of Ine.
I hope you enjoyed it.
If you visit, what will you see?
Until the next adventure, we'll see you then.
