Borussia Dortmund ● Road to the Final - 2023-24

Oh, it's lovely play. Vettinia! Oh, he's so unlucky in the end. And gets his goal. How wild Dortmund may feel for goal. Opportunity better, it may yet pay off. Hakimi, waltzing his way through! And it's a familiar face. Oh, might have clipped the post. Proved disappointed. Frustrated face again. Keepers come and backed off. And he's going to get away with it. He gets into position. And they could be in further trouble. It's a tricky get by Benzemaini. It's Raphael Leao. He's come back off the goalkeeper from Pulisic. Well, Kerbal didn't know a great deal about that, but he was in the rut. And Ray-Chan. It's a delightful cross in. It's Blunt! It was well executed, but he couldn't find the target. Well done by Falabria! Blunt stayed down. Comes back to Daniel Marlen. And he's had his critics. Zabitzer bursting forward. Space for Daniel Marlen. He comes back. It's too quick. It's saved for Nick Lloydson. He's found Daniel Marlen. And the deflection takes him behind. Away for a corner. Cross something. Anthony Gordon. It's a good stop that by Gregor Govel. And then in the first opportunity on goal. Stopped by Pope. And Marco Lozabek is charging upfield. He sees it up. And the venture! Terrific finish! But it was the man on the side of the replacement. And that target takes over St-Pierre's duty. It's aimed in towards... Lascelles. And he hits the crossbar. What a chance. Zabitzer has found Adeyemi. Pope with another save. It's across. Chance here. Zabitzer across. And then by Falabria. Ground takes. And Pope gets the chance wide. He wasn't sure. He wasn't good at one-man time. Jonathan. The first big chance of the night. Under his feet. He's first to react. Gets his shot away. And draws the save from Pope. With Bratt. Zabitzer alongside. And Bratt goes himself. A brilliant finish. From Julien Bratt. On a second Dortmund goal. Pairing. And scoring. Penalty. This is promising. Oh. More than promising. It's a moment of brilliance. Squeezes it in. And Dortmund lead again. Just a glimpse. Space. Around the edge of the penalty area. Adeyemi. Hits it for three. Yes. Now Pope has a shot. Drags it wide. Fermin. That he was Ferry. Now Bettina. Needed to be saved by Cobalt. And that's going to be a free kick. Adeyemi with what goes long. Collected by Mbappe. Who's got the bedroom. Oh no. What a stop. What a block that is. That's incredible. From Koulamouane. Who has time passed the post. Oh. Oh it was. Oh it is. Oh it was so good. Chance. Lee holds it. Breaks the forecourt. Forecourt. Tees up Adeyemi. Russian Dortmund make the breakthrough. Problems for Piers himself. Turned back by Barcula. Now it's Zaheer Emery. And it's 1-1. Here they come. And Tillman. Drags it wide. And there is just to find Sobari. Bakayoko. Geno's concert. Around the outside. And it's there. Dion. Just squeezes it through. Crucial goal. And then a chance here. Straight at the goalkeeper. Who denied collect. Sabitzer keeps it going. It's Sancho. Benitez. Somehow. In the way. You find the shot. That's what you get. Sancho. Marlon. Reflection. Took it into the gloves of Benitez. It's a lovely dink. Benitez makes the save from full through. Here's Lozano. That's one as well. Luke Dion. There it is. And there's an untimely slip. And here's Marco Reus. And there it is. Dortmund are through. A seismic series of events. Well, that's a poor pull away. Griezmann's on to it. And so was De Paul. And De Paul scores. And Atletico Madrid are ahead in four minutes. And it was an absolute leak. Griezmann back in. So that's a brilliant effort. It's a signal. Oh, that's a free header. Betis should have done better, really. He was upsided by his team-mate. Now Griezmann. Little flick ball. Big chance for two. It is two. It's Samuel Lina. And it's another horrible piece of Borussia Dortmund defending. And Atlas near side now. To go on his own. Cesar the key. Griezmann with the free kick in. It's gone all the way through. And a brilliant chance to surely wrap it up with someone leave. Very nearly through. It's Weller. It does come to Weller. And Dortmund are back in the tie. Sebastian Allaire off the bench. To get a goal that could be so important for the Germans. Good run. An adventurous run. It took a deflection and came off the bar. That's so close to an equaliser. To get away. He has. But it goes wide. Little dig chip. Hummels looks for Brandt. Opportunity here. Witzel is there. It's squeezed into the back of the net. And Borussia Dortmund take the lead on the night and level the tie. Sancho into the penalty area. Matsen into the penalty area. It's Matsen. It's 2-0. And they turn the tie on the head. Nine years now. Career. Griezmann's corner kick all the way through. Free head at the back post. And that's an own goal. Off the half. Mats Hummels. But there was far too much space in that back post area. Just behind Griezmann. But can he arrive? He could say. Will it come out to Correa? Blocked on the line. It comes back out to Correa. And that's going to go to the back of the lead in the tie. Savitzer with a cross into the middle. And how about this? Unfashionable. Niklas Falkreuth. Puts Borussia Dortmund at. Look at the mix again. Savitzer. Oh! It's 4-2, Dortmund. And they're ahead of it. Shonnerbeck going direct in towards Fulchrug. Fulchrug is in. Fulchrug! Oh! Absolutely magisterial. There's no other word for it. Thanks for Bradley Bartkelau. Tries to hit it. Kobel. A first save in the match. Straightforward work. Savitzer. Killing it. Bobbe! Good work. And still a chance. And the strike coming in. It's again off the post from Hakimi. No match on the follow. The flying. The magnificent work defensively is Martínez. That's a great ball. Ruiz. On a silver platter. From Jadon Sancho driving into that area. The comeback for Fulchrug. It should have been a second for him. It would have been. Hakimi on the turn. What a chance. Pulling neatly. Chipping back towards Rearson. Fires it into the side netting. Again the hook. Savitzer winning. But Mbappé on the volley. Straight at Kobel. Does have work to do early. Running at Marquinhos. And a yemi! Save from Gattaruma. What a save! Mbappé through the area. Ramos got a piece. And Zaire Emry! Straight into the post! Dropping right towards. Lipped in at Pace. Re-enter! And it's back to Reus! To double Borussia Dortmund's advantage in this semi-final! And Nuno Mench. Can he have it? And Nuno Mench! Vitinha stepping forward. Can he unlock? There's Ramos! There's that quickness. And plenty of pace. And a touch from Marquinhos. But gone beyond that far post. Catch it. Could come for Hakimi. And Mbappé! Off the woodwork again! Vitinha. Along to Savitinha. Off the woodwork again! And tonight, there is the full-time whistle! Borussia Dortmund are into the Champions League final for the first time in 11 years!
