Hello everyone, welcome to the Kanfeng Yun program.
Today I will talk to you about whether the CCP's secret police escape from the news is caused by internal strife or a personal awakening.
The CCP is facing an unprecedented crisis.
The Ministry of National Security announced a new regulation a few days ago.
It will take effect on July 1.
During the Russian-Ukrainian war, Putin replaced Shao Yigu.
The new Minister of Defense is a hard-line economist with no military experience.
After a CCP secret police escaped to Australia,
it was the first time it had been made public.
It revealed how the CCP's security department operates internally
and how to track down dissidents overseas.
Experts in the CCP's anti-water system say
this involves the CCP's internal strife,
and may also have a personal awakening factor.
Eric, a Chinese citizen,
revealed in a program of the Australian broadcaster Four Corners
that he served as a spy in the CCP's Ministry of National Security
and was responsible for luring overseas dissidents back to China for the police.
Eric, 39, said
that after escaping to Australia early last year,
he had told the Australian Security Intelligence Agency about his past.
He served as a spy in the CCP's Ministry of National Security for 15 years from 2008 to last year.
He worked in the Ministry of National Security's Political Security Department.
That department is called the Public Security Bureau.
His job was to infiltrate and track down overseas dissidents.
He said, for example,
that the CCP's Ministry of National Security had tried to kidnap
a cartoonist from the free Asian radio station, Pervert Pepper.
The real name of Pervert Pepper was Wang Liming.
He was a dissident who escaped from China.
After Eric received the CCP's mission, he set up a trap.
Fortunately, Wang Liming did not fall for it.
The agent usually received instructions
to plan to lure dissidents to Southeast Asia
because the CCP's police were more free there.
They could bring dissidents back to China through illegal means.
According to the Free Asian Radio,
51-year-old cartoonist Wang Liming grew up in China.
In 2011, he drew a cartoon and sang
One Person One Vote to change China.
As a result, the CCP police came to him.
Later, he found a way to leave China.
In 2014, Wang found himself
tagged as a traitor by the People's Daily.
A few days later,
his social media account and online shop were closed.
He decided not to return to China.
In November 2016,
Wang received a tweet during his stay in Japan.
A fan named Xiaoyang praised his courage
and suggested further communication via email.
Xiaoyang is actually Eric.
He used the identity of the chief planner
of the Crown Real Estate Group to lure Wang.
Wang had no doubt about Xiaoyang.
He said,
I read his tweet at the time.
It looks like he said it himself.
He is the kind of person who has democratic values
and does not like the Communist Party.
In the next few months,
Xiaoyang asked Wang to help the company design products
and then provided him with the opportunity
to work as the global creative director of the Crown Group.
Xiaoyang described the company
in an email as
the best real estate group.
The company is very kind.
Wang was moved and applied for this job.
The HR manager of the Crown Group
immediately responded positively
and invited Wang to an interview at Cambodia.
But Wang refused out of safety concerns.
The Crown Group also suggested
that he go to Taiwan for an office interview.
Wang discussed this with his family.
But his wife strongly opposed it
and said that if he went to the interview, he would divorce.
He eventually refused the interview.
Although Wang did not go to the interview,
he never forgot about it.
Later, their family came to the United States.
In May this year,
a reporter from an Australian broadcaster
came to his house in the United States.
In an interview,
the reporter arranged for him to contact Xiaoyang,
who had fled to Australia.
After the two talked,
Wang said,
I was very shocked.
Xiaoyang told me that
every word he said to me
was the result of a meeting with the Chinese police.
They held many meetings for this action
and even sent a special team to Cambodia.
Wang asked Xiaoyang
why he lied to him about going to Taiwan.
Xiaoyang said,
because the Crown Group is deeply involved in this matter.
They are sure to kidnap you from Taiwan to the Pacific.
Eric told Free Asia Radio
The Crown Group has a close relationship with the CCP's secret police.
Their big boss knows who I am
and knows what my mission is.
Hong Kong activist Zheng Wenjie of Lvying said,
the CCP's secret police unit
dared to carry out such cross-border law enforcement in Taiwan.
It is outrageous.
Experts said,
Southeast Asia has long been
a key area for CCP kidnapping overseas.
In recent years,
in Taiwan, Laos, Thailand,
Burma, Vietnam, and other places,
there have been many people kidnapped
who have attracted attention.
In 2005,
Chen Yonglin, a former Chinese diplomat
who defected to Australia,
analyzed that these Southeast Asian countries
are close to China because of their geographical location
and are allied with the CCP,
so they are under the influence of the CCP's security agencies.
In addition,
local companies in contact with the CCP
will also provide office buildings
or safe havens for CCP agents.
Because these kidnapping activities overseas
are generally not carried out in hotels,
they are afraid that there is video in the hotel.
Lvying scholar Yuan Hongbin said,
the CCP's secret police or agents
have various privileges within the CCP system.
They surrender to the free world,
indicating that these people
are actually just a combination of interests with the CCP.
Due to internal power struggles
or conflicts between colleagues at work,
it is possible that they betray the CCP.
Lvying scholar Wang Juntao said,
there is also an angle of analysis,
that is, there are people in the CCP's secret police who are also awakening.
The Communist Party has many officials.
Once they reach a high position,
when they know the inside story,
their thoughts change and become disloyal.
In fact,
people who came out of the Communist Party
are all like this.
Once they know the truth,
they will awaken.
Wang Juntao said,
in the past, the Communist Party wanted these
loyal to the party and the country.
Faced with the political crisis
it made it relatively easy for officials
to issue unilateral sanctions
and maintain rule.
But after Xi Jinping established dictatorship,
he put himself above the party.
Xi's political crisis
not only comes from the corruption and tyranny
of the Communist Party and the conflict with the people,
but also from his personal conflict
with the Communist Party's party-state machine.
His sense of crisis will be much more serious.
Recently,
Minister of National Security Chen Yixin said,
he wants to catch a mole.
Xi Jinping is afraid that the regime is unstable.
Last month,
Chen Yixin launched the so-called
new anti-corruption struggle,
that is, to carry out anti-subversion,
anti-discrimination, anti-separation,
anti-terrorism, anti-espionage, anti-corruption struggle.
The Chinese Communist Party's Ministry of National Security
has also announced new regulations.
From July this year,
it will expand the investigation of other people's mobile phones
and other electronic devices,
and will detain Chinese returning to China
or foreign tourists visiting China.
The new regulations do not specify
only for Chinese citizens.
Therefore,
foreigners will also be investigated by
by checking mobile phones and computers.
Former Beijing lawyer Lai Jianping said,
the CCP is facing an unprecedented crisis.
He can only speed up control
to further compress the free space of civil society.
Independent political scholar Chen Daoyin
also said to the American media,
the stronger the sense of crisis of a regime,
the stronger the sense of control.
He said,
the CCP's enforcement practices have always been
regional treatment,
dividing key personnel into key areas.
For example,
Japan, the United States,
active human rights groups in Europe,
such as Jiangdu, Zangdu, Falun Gong,
some active personnel overseas.
He may be the key person to investigate them.
As the Russian Ministry of Defense
continued to expose corruption scandals,
Putin unexpectedly replaced Minister Shao Yigu.
The new minister, Bilor Usov,
is a military-experienced
and strong economic scholar.
Shao Yigu is Russia's longest-serving minister.
This is the first time in 12 years
that Russia has replaced a defense minister.
The Russian-Ukrainian war has entered its third year.
Putin let a military-experienced
economic scholar take over as defense minister,
which has caught the eye of the outside world.
Bilor Usov has served as
the Russian Minister of Economic Development
and the first deputy prime minister.
He is tough.
He has raised about 300 billion rubles
for the government through
which is about $3 billion.
His ability to do things
may have left a deep impression on Putin.
Putin's spokesman, Peskov,
explained in a briefing on December
why he chose Bilor Usov.
A Russian senior intelligence officer said,
Bilor Usov has half of the Soviet blood.
He is a very Soviet person.
Bilor Usov believes that
the state is supreme.
The government should decide how to spend money.
Analysts believe that
Bilor Usov's tough tactics
are not conducive to private enterprise development.
Some Russian military blocs believe
Bilor Usov's ability
will help eliminate corruption
in the military and defense industry.
However, some senior military leaders
may be inclined to
a military minister of defense.
On May 13,
Bilor Usov,
as the national defense minister nominee,
made his first public speech
to the military.
He said he would provide
better housing, hospitals and welfare
Bilor Usov's background as an economist
shows that he is unlikely
to participate in a large number of
decisions on the Ukrainian battlefield.
He is still in charge of the Russian military
led by General Secretary Gerasimov.
Bilor Usov,
as the national defense minister nominee,
will be the secretary of the Security Council.
This high-level government position
will keep him close to Putin,
but the impact may be small.
OK, that's all for today.
