Hello everyone and welcome to the tutorial channel on 3D fish-layered resin painting.
This is a kind of art originated from Japan.
Though it is extremely difficult to find a video that has a full tutorial on it.
So that's the reason why I have decided to make this YouTube channel.
Now first, I will introduce the resin that I will be using.
There are two of them.
The first one is a hardener, codenamed B.
And the second one is an epoxy resin, codenamed A.
I will mix them with a ratio of 3 to 1, and use the plastic straw to stir the compound up.
So after 3 to 5 minutes, my compound has become as clear as rainwater.
Now, you can pour this into the bowl with a thickness around, say, 1 cm before drawing the fishes.
Please do remember that the compound mix ratio should be done as instructed.
And it should not be overdone, because once it is mixed, the compound will be hardened.
The resin that I am using will harden in 8 to 10 hours.
Now for those who are in different countries, I strongly recommend you to buy on Amazon for the Art Resin brand.
And mix the compound exactly as instructed, as 1 to 1 ratio.
Next up would be the brushes.
I recommend the pointed ground brush.
After a while using this kind of brush, I feel that it is the appropriate brush to draw fishes on resin,
because its brushes are very soft.
Now this kind of brush could be found in any art shop in your area.
Regarding colors, I mainly use acrylic paints from PBO.
This is the slow-dry compound from Liquitex.
Due to the fact that acrylic paints actually dries out quite quickly,
I would like to apply this to make the paint dries a bit slower.
It is not that important though.
Let's see, I will pour this compound to a small plastic cup to use it easily while drawing.
Next, I will introduce the Accel 2mm Clear Perspex Acrylic.
It is an acrylic panel that simulates the layer with the resin.
It is very useful while practicing drawing fishes.
It has a thickness of 2mm.
Now I will draw fish on this panel,
so you can actually see and understand it easily while you draw on resin.
Here are the bowls I use for drawing fishes on resin.
They are important from Japan.
I really like to draw fishes on Shino ceramic,
because it actually looks really artistic.
You do not have to buy ceramic bowls from Japan though.
You can just use your existing ceramic bowls in your home.
Next up, I will introduce some of my first works.
I have just started on this kind of art,
so I do make mistakes from time to time.
Please do support my channel and do not forget to subscribe.
Finally, please take a look at my working desk and the 3D resin fishes that I have made.
I hope you had a good time watching my video.
Thank you.
