CF Montréal vs. Inter Miami CF - Full Match Highlights - May 11, 2024

Yeah, and Edwards picked up a knock in the Canadian Championship midweek So Lasseter drops a line to that wing back position him and Kramosky and then of course the pairing they find that continuity with Suarez And don't forget, of course the GOAT. Number 10, Messi. Unable to find a way through, a little ahead of Kipsov, but all goals. Bonnie Vilsaigne with Duke ahead. It's through now for Bryce Duke! Messi, it's Bryce Duke! Laurent Courtois said we want to be bold, we want to be brave, but we have to be good in moments in transition And this is perfectly executed. Vilsaigne gets out on the break and it's wonderfully timed just in front of Duke So he's able to run on to it. From there, he keeps his head, he keeps his calm against his former side Takes that first touch into space and then goes through the legs of Drake Callender for the finish It's a dream start for CF Montreal And a lot had asked and said he was going to be a number nine But I like him just a little bit deeper as a little bit more to his game playing balls in behind and then following up into space Wonderful save from Callender Well, that would have been quite something from Svanjaer Duke Lasseter Hand over They've been compact defensively have not allowed that time and space for Suarez and Messi And then they've taken their opportunity in transition Now showing a different club trying to play in possession as well, but no time to get comfortable exploring these wide areas and Alvarez releases They'll say who continues his run here watch him trail the play and that cutback is perfect. The first touch is tight Tottenham Hotspur Very well be someone we see at some stage in Miami, of course The likes of Ryan Taylor we may see at some stage as well in the meantime Lasseter Towards Samuel Piette And Duke again The wall sets itself Matias Rojas, of course scored two on his home debut the effort towards goal is absolutely sublime on the cusp of halftime Matias Rojas Gives into Miami life in Montreal Lionel Messi were on the pitch for this set piece here Rojas says let me step up and get an opportunity to take my chance And put it in the back of the net and what a strike it is We saw him last week score two goals coming in confident, but he's been invisible throughout the first half of this match But he only needs one chance to show his quality to curl that right into the top corner No chance for Ziroua there and right in an instant in Suarez perfect header there And it's all switched in an instant it served in from Kressel and flicked on from Bryce Duke it's unlucky there But the last man you want to leave on that back post is Luis Suarez and you can see the Predators finish getting that left foot Up just with the bottom of his heels But you cannot rest. He just gets in the blind spot here behind Lasseter and it looks like there's no danger And you can just watch him right when he goes to sleep. That's right where he's gonna pounce right in front Just needs one step On that far absolutely and look The the scariest part of this is none of this has involved Lionel Messi to this point and just last week He had five assists and a goal in the second half. So have to be careful is an understatement Testing out to a calendar in the early stages. Let's see Starts with a little ball into Messi and he just shifts the hips and then is able To find space and you can see how high this line is from CF Montreal. It's all out of sorts here And Lasseter is the one who's left trying to chase shadows In the name of Benjamin Kramowski here. It's a wonderful ball in behind from Rojas who just picks him out perfectly The first touch wasn't perfect. So you thought maybe he'd missed his opportunity, but he just scraps across it there Kramowski and his first start coming back has missed time through injury throughout this season He's brave. They're trying to get on the end of it the first touch Doesn't quite come off the way he wanted it, but the second prepares it And then he just wheels that across for the finish and inter miami Down to his team right now needs to find a way against these star players to continue to push on As duke pushes on As does yankoff towards goal Well gathered by calendar Handful to deal with and then joseph martinez 107 goals. They missed that experience So big opportunity here for ibrahim to try to take his chance Very nearly got onto the end of the cross come shots Start sabuto holds its breath messi and over Hard to believe louis suarey on a and contract. We're talking of dps. Here's messi twisting and turning Really good save again To try to find this equalizer So here's ball in To a effort towards goal We've had the six minutes And so comes to an end A thrilling gain into miami victorious
