ESTEE LAUDER DOUBLE WEAR VS. CHARLOTTE TILBURY AIRBRUSH FLAWLESS FOUNDATION | Review & Wear Test!

Hi guys, welcome back to my channel and thank you so much for watching. So in today's video I'm going to be doing a comparison with the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation and the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation. Now the Estee Lauder Double Wear has been my all-time favourite foundation, it's my holy grail foundation, so I wanted to compete against the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation. Now with this foundation I've seen so many good reviews about it online and watched a lot of videos, so I want to see if it's equally as good as the Estee Lauder Double Wear or if not better. So throughout the day I'm going to be doing check-ins with you guys and showing you just exactly how well these foundations are performing. I'm going to be showing you up close and personal shots of my skin throughout the whole day. So if you want to know how this comparison goes then make sure you keep watching. So I've already moisturised my skin and before any makeup application I always use a primer and the one that I love to use is the NARS Smooth and Protect Primer on the areas that I need it. So my face gets really oily so I like to apply it on my full face and I am ready for this foundation wars. Which one do you think is going to be performing better? Comment down below, I want to know. So the first foundation I'm going to be using is the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation. I'm going to do half half, so Estee Lauder on this side and Charlotte Tilbury on this side. Foundation brush I'm going to be using is the Fenty Beauty Foundation Brush and it's number 110. I'm just going to apply it on. So with this Estee Lauder foundation it is medium to full coverage, so a buildable foundation. It looks so natural on my skin and it just blends out really nicely. Now the shade that I've used is 2W2 Rattan. Now this shade is light medium with warm yellow undertones which is what I usually go for, however recently when I've been buying foundations I've gone for like the more neutral shades because I feel that's a bit more flattering on my skin. But that is one layer on my skin of Estee Lauder. I'm going to apply one more layer so you can see the full effect and this is covering my pigmentation really well. This is like the best comparison. No makeup, Estee Lauder Double Wear. It's covered my redness, pigmentation and acne scarring. The next foundation I'm going to be trying is this Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Airbrush Flawless Foundation. I love the packaging on this. Can we just take a moment to appreciate this packaging? Here we go. So this is shade 5.5 in the Charlotte Tilbury foundation. Wow! Look at the coverage in this. Oh it's going on really nicely and it's smoothing out. So I'm really excited. I'm just looking in the mirror and it's smoothing out all my pores as well. You probably thought I had texture and scarring here on my cheek but that's just covered it all. Well I've still got a bit of texture there but that's understandable. It's texture. I'm not going to be able to hide that. So I'm going to do one more layer of the Charlotte Tilbury and it's just covered all my acne pigmentation so well. I'm just going to blend it out a little bit with the beauty blender so it gives me more of a natural full coverage finish. So it's been a few minutes now so the foundations have dried down slightly. So I'm going to show you. I'm going to zoom in. I did say I was going to zoom in and it's going to be up close and personal. I'm loving this Charlotte Tilbury one but looking at it, I'm just looking in the mirror, the coverage of this is so nice and it has smoothed out all my pores. I feel like you can't even see my pores. Like I mean I've still got that texture there however it's covered my acne scarring really well and the colour looks really nice. What do you guys think? Let me know down in the comments below. Right guys so I've just finished doing my makeup and I've set my foundation with just a little bit of Laura Mercier translucent powder just to set it a little bit and I have to say Charlotte Tilbury is looking really really nice. It has smoothed all my pores out and it's just given me this really nice flawless effect and it's giving Estee Lauder a run for its money. They are both doing really really well. It's looking really great. Let me just zoom in so you can see exactly what I'm talking about. So this is Charlotte Tilbury. It's covered my acne and redness really well. I've got a bit of texture there but that's fine and then Estee Lauder, it just looks really flawless. So I'm going to go on the websites now for these foundations and see what the claims are for these foundations and what they claim to do and what it's all about. Estee Lauder Double Wear it says super long 24-hour wear, flawless natural matte, it's a buildable coverage medium to full like I showed you the first layer it was medium coverage and then two layers it was full coverage. The finish is matte. The formula facts of this foundation is 24-hour wear, 24-hour colour true, 24-hour non-creasing, it's waterproof, sweat and humidity resistant, transfer resistant, controls oil all day, no caking, no settling into fine lines or pores, no pouring, no streaking, it's oil free, dermatologist tested, non-comedogenic and it's fragrance free. Wow the claims for this foundation is phenomenal like literally they've claimed that it can do everything and anything that a foundation can do this can do it they say on these claims. Right so I'm going to go onto the Charlotte Tilbury website now and see what this foundation claims to do. It is sweat proof, humidity proof, waterproof and transfer resistant which is exactly the same with the Double Wear as well so they're both the same for that. A stay all day, weightless, full coverage formula with a natural matte finish. So I could definitely say it is weightless I just feel like I don't have any foundation on like my skin feels like it can still breathe and it's just weightless it feels so light and it's full coverage like one layer of the Charlotte Tilbury it was like a mask it covered everything but it doesn't look like I have cake face it is still so natural looking. I'm going to do some more close-up shots and zoom in a bit so you can see a bit more. There's groundbreaking magic replexium to significantly reduce the appearance of wrinkles by up to 20% after eight weeks of use. Now I definitely need a lot more of that replexium I like the sound of this. Celltech number one to boost hydration by up to 216%. Now that's phenomenal so even though this foundation gives you like a really nice a matte finish it's really hydrating as well if it actually hydrates your skin by 216% that is a lot of hydration and then there's air cool for an instant fresh feel on the skin so that's really really nice to have especially in places where it is hot and humid you want your skin to be able to still feel cool and not feel like it's a hot mess and there's a unique ct defense that is designed to limit exposure of the skin to everyday polluters. Now I like the sound of that I love foundations that have skincare loving ingredients in there and that's exactly what this foundation has got. Yeah I'm really excited to see how well they both compare against each other it's like foundation wars the battle of the foundations I already know that this one's a great foundation however with this Charlotte Tilbury one I'm yet to find out today guys so the time now is 9 38 so I'm going to have the first check-in with you guys round about six hours time I'll show you up close and personal yet again what my skin's looking like how well the foundation is looking how well it's keeping up how well it's controlling my oils and just basically what it looks like so we shall see if the claims for these foundations actually works and test out these foundations and I'm back right guys so it is now 4 55 in the afternoon so it's been a good seven hours now since I've applied this foundation so I've not touched up my skin at all I haven't added on any extra powder any extra concealer foundation I've just left my skin as it is side first which is Charlotte Tilbury so I'm just gonna look down here because I can see in the mirror so you can see my natural oils have started to come through this foundation has controlled my oils so well it doesn't look too oily it just gives me like a like this really nice natural glow and usually I get like a bit of caking around my smile lines but that hasn't happened it's just still kept it really flawless and especially on the corners on my nose as well it hasn't settled either so it's looking really good a little bit of shine on my chin a little bit on my nose and on my forehead let me just show you the coverage is still there the color is still there it didn't oxidize it didn't go any darker it just stayed true to its color and I'm liking the look of this so let me show you the other side now which is the Estee Lauder side you can see my natural oils coming through yet again but it's just giving me this really nice natural glow I don't look too oily which is what I usually look like with my oily skin type with this Estee Lauder what I love about it is that it always controls my oils so well it's really suitable for oily skin no settling in my lines and my pores are still smoothed out around my nose area there's no settling on the corners on my nose as well none of that it just looks really good that's why I love this double wear foundation I've always loved it and yet again it hasn't let me down but at the moment I'm really impressed with these foundations especially this so I'll check in again with you guys later this evening right guys so I am back for my final check-in and it is now 11 50 p.m so just before midnight and I've had this foundation on for nearly 14 hours now and as you can see I've got my robe on as well which is really comfortable I love wearing this I've had a bit more oils come through but it's done really really well the coverage is still there the colour and it's kept my oils it's controlled it really really well or no caking and it hasn't settled into my lines these small lines are usually my problem area I usually get a bit of settling in there however this one there's none of that it hasn't settled at all even on my nose let me zoom in even more can you see it hasn't settled at all it looks flawless still even on my nose there's like minimal shine I'm loving this one it's really controlled it's oil so when it says it's long wearing and it's oil free they mean business let me show you the other side as well which is Estee Lauder little bit of shine again but it still held its own really well it's controlled my oils so well even on my forehead as well I think the Charlotte Tilbury foundation wins this battle just by a little bit purely because of the coverage it's the coverage that has won this battle for me hands down and I think I've got a new favourite foundation it's full coverage it does everything that I want it to do in a foundation I'm so excited I hope you found this video helpful if you enjoyed it then give it a thumbs up and which foundation did you prefer was it Estee Lauder or was it Charlotte Tilbury and is there any foundations you'd like to see in my next videos let me know down in the comments below thank you so much for watching and I'll see you all in my next video bye
