Hi.
Good morning everybody.
We are here at this picnic site.
Just had our breakfast.
We're now preparing the coffee.
Of course always very, very.
Of course always very important for us.
At home at the moment I don't drink so much coffee but out here necessary is a big word
but it's really helpful.
Today we are going along the river Maas until Arnhem.
We're really curious what we're going to see there.
We never cycled this route before so come along with us and let's find out.
Morning guys.
I'm a little bit lazy still having my coffee here but we have some pretty exciting news
to tell you.
We're both going on a new adventure again.
I'm not going to tell you where yet but you will find out pretty soon.
One thing is for sure.
We're going to take you along with us.
So we have arrived here on this terrain with all these tents and caravans.
It's like a canoe club that comes here together a few months every year to have a nice time
together.
Hi.
We're at the river Maas and we were just cycling by and we thought hey is this like a
sort of camping so we asked.
But it's super convenient.
We have been wild camping all the way and we asked at a couple of campings and they
were all full.
And this is just for one night.
Super easy.
No hassle.
We're going to cook some stuff and we will see you a little bit later.
Good morning here at the canoe club.
Yeah.
Had a reasonable night's sleep.
A lot of dreams.
Always when we're out and about doing adventures I have a lot of like wild dreams.
Today we have a full day of riding, well actually we have only 45 kilometers to make.
This part of the Netherlands is really cool.
You can ride a lot more off-road on like gravel type roads or in the forests while in the
part where we live.
That's really not very accepted by people or even allowed.
So yeah we love that and yeah so I'm looking forward to today.
First a little stretch along river Maas still and then we will head to the forests.
So we are just cycling away from the canoe club.
We had a really beautiful evening with very nice people.
This morning we shared some breakfast with some elderly people and one of their children.
She is a goldsmith and she made these beautiful necklaces that she gifted to us and the stones
that you see here those are I think you call them pebble stones right from the river Maas
behind me and she collects them to make necklaces and other beautiful pieces.
She also gave us like a little poem it's in a dialect but I will translate it to you as
good as I can.
Pebble stone, patient and on the go, playful, a beautiful wonder, flowing with the river
Maas, an art piece.
It's kind of a metaphor for life so you get born and with patience you will go through
life and you have beautiful things but also really rough stretches in your life and slowly
but surely you get polished kind of by the river or by all the things you will encounter
in your life and eventually you will be this beautiful art piece.
Yeah we really want to thank the woman that gave us these necklaces.
We don't need no fancy campings or anything we just go like this washing ourselves in
the middle of a town square somewhere.
So we were flying a drone and I was waiting for Eric to get the drone back but it took
very long and there he is in the middle of a potato field of someone hopefully he's careful
but I think we only cycled about five kilometers yet but yeah that's how it goes sometimes.
Let's check it out what he has to say.
Wow what a stressful situation.
The drone was landing and I put the return to home point at this walking path and there
were just walkers there so I broke off the landing because I didn't want to land on their
head and then it drifted away got into this I think it's potato field man and then I found
the the place where it said it was blinking your drone is here and I couldn't find it
I couldn't find it so I searched the whole area and it was 20 meters from where it was
blinking so man that stuff is stressful.
No potatoes damaged.
No potatoes damaged in the search I can't guarantee.
Oh man Betsy is back again with us.
Hi guys I got some bad news.
I have trouble with my ankle at the moment and I think I maybe like stretched a ligament
or a muscle when I was searching for the drone in a in this frantic kind of a head space
and I was in this potato field with all these up and down kind of gullies to let the potatoes
grow and I think in my kind of stress I stepped wrong and yeah it feels very very stiff and
if I stop for a little bit longer then it really tenses up it becomes really sore and
yeah I'm really not sure what to do now.
Hi.
Oh man yeah it's getting more stiff and more painful and man it's not feeling great at all.
So Eric is not really feeling too well it's getting worse right?
Yeah.
And we have decided to go to like a mini camping that would be the best option
if it goes if it will be worse we are at least in a place where there are more people and
yeah possibly internet connection or something like that so coffee time.
It's not very strong coffee.
Hey good morning it's already the next day and I got to say the pain in my ankle
is gone at the moment it's still stiff a little bit and the two aspirins yesterday really helped
so it feels kind of like a miracle I'm really happy with that but I don't know what what
happened there so yeah let's see how it goes today and I bet I got a good feeling about it
and I'm here with Maudie in the tent she's also there and yeah we're gonna wake up have
some breakfast and head out we're gonna meet some friends later on today and we're really
looking forward to that so see you later.
I have to say this province Limburg I really love it if you plan to go to the Netherlands sometimes
then Limburg is beautiful also Gelderland it's a province in the middle of the Netherlands
really beautiful a lot of national parks and of course Arjuns are absolutely amazing to visit so
yeah if you love nature those three places are really recommended
oh I'm so sleepy still I haven't slept very well in this camping
