RISE of the ROMANS

for regular videos on ancient cultures and forgotten civilizations Please Subscribe as some of you may know I teach ancient history courses online these are for people who want to go deeper into various subjects than you see in my videos here on YouTube but whereas they are designed to appeal to the general public they often just scratch the surface I've been teaching on the college level for many years but now I'm offering courses online to people who can't afford to attend any college or university uh in order to make available to them the same level of educational content and a lower cost and to design some courses that are less common at colleges or universities anyway well I'm rolling out my next independent online course on a topic I think many of you will find fascinating because you watch this video the course is called rise of the Romans yeah the class explores the emergence and development of Roman civilization from the foundation of the city of Rome to the time of Julius Caesar that's in the first century BCE a lot of people know about the Empire but this is about how it all got started have you ever wondered where the Romans came from how they got their start well this all will be revealed to you in the class not only that but you'll be introduced to the works of ancient Roman poets from the time historians and thinkers together with art and archaeology to investigate Roman culture and Society of this period as well as the origin and development of Republican government imperialism technological innovations and literary and visual arts topics include also the roles of women uh slaves Roman religion the Punic Wars oh yeah we're got to talk about Hannibal and the Revolutions of Marius suah and Caesar this is a specially crafted thoroughly researched content-rich learning experience it's not a generalized presentation written by chat GPT but a college level course presented by a specialist in the field of ancient history by the time you have completed the course you will have a much more well-rounded understanding of the actual facts of what was going on in this part of the world in at that time instead of what you hear people saying online maybe your experience with history in school wasn't the best but learning history doesn't have to be boring it doesn't have to be tedious it doesn't have to be delivered in a monotone learning ancient history can be fun and I can take you there the course itself consists of 6 90minut sessions that's 540 minutes of original interactive content organized into lectures by me with discussions the class will be held every Sunday at 2 p.m. uh that's eastern time in the US for 6 weeks starting May 19th this course is live not pre-recorded you'll be able to interact directly with me asking questions and getting to know the other members of the class in real time the class will be on Zoom so if you have zoom you can connect without a problem you do not need to buy any course materials such as a textbook uh through this platform I will provide you with learning AIDS of various kinds including maps and charts and photos and a a workbook you'll also get English translations of various ancient documents that we will be uh examining in the course so how does all that sound to you is this the kind of course you want to take the average cost for a college course of the same length this is about half a semester's worth is about $750 now of course you don't get actual college credits in the course but as far as the content goes it's of the same caliber I'm offering the course and all the extras for $250 if you take two courses together however you can get both for $350 so that's $1 175 a piece if you're a patron of my YouTube channel over at patreon you can get an additional discount 15% or 25% depending on your level and if you want to go over there and become a patreon right now we can give you a discount code which you can use right away the address is patreon.com worldof antiquity time is short so sign up now to reserve your space I left a link below the video just click on that that and it will take you to the main page
