Ha! Arsenal 3, Bournemouth 0 and breathe, Arsenal fans. I do think the scoreline, courtesy of
Trossart and Rice's goals, kind of glossed over, which was a nervy and mixed performance from
Arsenal. But at the end of the day, three points at this crucial stage in the season with Manchester
City to play Wolves later. Hopefully Wolves do us a favour. Arsenal have done all they can.
Got three points, kept a clean sheet. Now, first and foremost, you have to be gracious in victory
and defeat. I do think, you know, Bournemouth, when they go through this game again, will think
that they could have done better. I think there was moments where, you know, they knew they were
going to come here. They were going to have to live in their own half and kind of be reactive
to what we do. I think as the game went on, Bournemouth grew in confidence. I definitely feel
they started off in the second half better than us. And I do think it kind of followed the Spurs
game in that there were a bit of nervy periods from Arsenal, you know. And I do think, you know,
us having a bit of a rest from the Spurs game kind of gave us a bit more energy. But in the second
half, I was shocked at how cheaply we was giving the ball away. And quite frankly, it was poor in
a lot of aspects, really. First half, we started off very well, I believe. You know, Odegaard had
some great moments. Tomiasu, I felt, started well. Generally, the team did all right. It's just in
the final third, we're lacking that cutting edge. If I'm brutally honest, we was lacking that real
cutting edge to really go ahead and really run away with it. We should have scored four, five,
six goals in the first half. Through nothing, no fault of Bournemouth. I think sometimes they
were giving the ball away. You know, Declan Rice did score, but he should have had a goal in the
first half. You know, maybe Thomas Partey could have done better. Saliba had an effort, which I
think, you know, it was a good save. There was an effort where the Bournemouth keeper spilled it,
and it just made me feel we need a striker because a striker's natural instincts would be to get on
the end of it. And there was a couple of other opportunities we could have done well. Generally,
we was doing all right. You know, I do think it was a penalty for Kai Havertz. Is he looking for
other players? You're told that that is smart play from them. Either way, to be brutally honest,
I don't give a monkey's because he was fouled. We scored in the 45th minute. Saka put the ball
in the back of the net, you know, gets another goal and is having a great season. Now, at half
time, I don't feel Mikel Arteta is going to be happy. I feel just like it sounds crazy because
we was 3-0 off at half time against Spurs, and we was well ahead against Chelsea. But if you go
through my watch alongs, and actually Villa, I don't think Mikel Arteta would have been happy,
and I don't think he'll be happy with how we started the second half, if I'm completely honest
with you. You know, it's a shame that big Gabriel, you know, that would have been a goal of the
season contender. It was too tough for offside. But at half time, I thought Gabriel had some
dodgy moments. You know, the majority of the game was in their half. We just needed to score
some more and just get that quality that's been lacking in our play within the final third.
As I said, Saliba, Rice, Partey and a bunch of other players did well. I don't know what for
Saka has to do to get fouls. You know, Christie showed a dark arts masterclass in my opinion.
How he only got a yellow card in the 90th minute, let alone was it sent off, I don't know. Maybe
there were some conscientious decisions the refs made. For me, since I don't know, I didn't know
you could tackle like that in the Premier League, and I didn't know you could do that. Saka was
evidently fouled. Look at his ----. Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. But fair enough, it is
people. I think Bournemouth are a great team and rightly so. At half time, we had 16 shots,
five on target. Bournemouth had one shot, none on target. That should have been reflected in
the scoreline because there's still a bit of hope and optimism within the Bournemouth fan base
or collective coaching staff and players at 1-0 because they're doing quite well and
Arsenal only scored as a result of a penalty. So there's somewhat in it really. We need to
kill that hope. I did think in the second half it was a lot more even and open. I was kind of
asking the question on my live stream, should we bring on Jorginho? It looked like we were losing
a lot of control and simply put, we were gifting the ball away cheaply. And you could see Bournemouth
were growing in confidence. You were seeing them more in the final third. I think Semenya
on the right-hand side came to the fore a bit better. One of their substitutes absolutely
twisted up Martinelli. Selanki, all game, even when there were periods where we had the
majority of the ball, I think he was winning some smart fouls and having some good bits of play.
And I did feel in the second half, they were probably getting in behind our defence far too
easily, especially on Benjamin White's side. Obviously, Benjamin White's played that long,
hopeful ball to Saka. Saka's had a bit of brilliance. There is a touch of fortune for
how it's landed to Rice. Rice has got an assist. Trosshart's put the ball in the back of the net,
which Trosshart probably could have been subbed sooner, but that puts us at 2-0 in front.
Obviously, you know, Raya has boss case because I do think it's a soft foul. I do think the
from Selanki, he isn't looking for the ball and he has nudged him and that has taken Raya,
of course. But I do think Raya's got to be stronger there, really, and Sunday league,
you're never getting that. But fortunately, it's the Premier League. Obviously, we've benefited
from that decision. Take the decisions, whether it's the two that have gone against Bournemouth
that I've said at this point, or, you know, other decisions with Saka not, you know, well, sorry,
Christy not being sent off for Saka. Take that up with the referees. I'm happy that we've controlled
the variables that we can control. So, yeah, generally, it was an amazing performance and I
wouldn't say exactly it was poor. There were aspects we could have done better. I still think
in the last few games, while I'm happy that we're just winning games at this decisive period,
that we need to be better across 90 minutes. But three points is all that matters. You know, City,
it's going to be a difficult task to pit them to the league title. I don't think we will because
I just think City are a different engine and Pep Guardiola wants that 4p. But we put the pressure
on them to a degree. They know what they need to do against Wolves at the time of making this video.
Hopefully, Wolves can do us a favour. We've controlled what we can control. It's a great
bank holiday weekend for Arsenal Football Club. Nice to see Saka and Rice adding to their
statistics. I think Odegaard went a bit quiet as the game went on, but I think Odegaard had a decent
game in certain patches. I think William Saliba did very well. I think Gabriel is one of our
player of the season candidates. So, he was due a bad game. You can count on one hand if any,
but I think Gabriel was a bit off it today. But I'm saying all of this when we've won 3-0,
kept a clean sheet and got three points kicking off this 12-30 fixture. So, yeah, we enjoyed today.
We do need to be much better away at Manchester United. We've got two games left against a good
team in Everton and a Man Utd team that wants to spoil the party. So, I'm a happy lad really. We've
got the goals, got the clean sheet. We keep it moving. It's as simple as that. Let me know your
thoughts, people. Don't forget to like, comment, subscribe. Let me know your thoughts on the manner
of the match, the numerous talking points that undoubtedly will follow with Kai Havertz's
penalty claim, you know, with Ryers, the goal being chalked off. And to be fair with you,
regardless of Ryers' goal being chalked off or not, at that point, we've gone 2-0 up.
They always say in football, you know, the most dangerous time for your team is when you score.
And I think that kind of rang true because it's almost instantly from going 2-0 up,
there's that moment where, you know, correctly so, probably maybe a bit harsh, but that goal's
been disallowed. So, there are things that we could do a lot better. On another day, we need
to kill the optimism in the opposition. We've scored 80-odd goals in the Premier League,
100-odd in all comps. We need to reflect that at half-time. We should have put the goal to bed.
I think we made it more nervy and edgy than it needed to be towards the end. But, as I said,
and I keep repeating, three goals, clean sheet helps the GD as well, and most importantly,
three points in what could have been a banana skin against one of the most informed teams in
the Premier League since October. What Bournemouth are doing, they've got a great team, really. And
to be fair, they've lost 3-0 against an informed side. There's no shame in that. But I bet you,
if you ask their players and their manager, they probably could have, would have, and should have
did things differently. But who cares? We run away with it. Kai Havertz, Saka, you know,
Declan Rice have been amongst things, as has Trosser. You know, hey, Gabriel Jesus got an
assist. I'm living with something. I thought he'd bagged today. Martinelli probably should have
scored it almost instantly after coming off the bench. But it is what it is. These are all talking
points. As I always say, get the three points first, dissect performances later. So yeah,
let me know your thoughts. Like, comment, subscribe. Take care. Stay blessed. Peace.
