Who is Jesus Christ?
If you don't know the answer to this question,
then this question is the most important question that you can ever ask in your whole life.
And if you want me to tell you about Jesus Christ, I can try,
but I won't do a proper job because I'm not worthy.
I'm not even worthy, I'm not good enough to wash His feet, but I'll try.
But you need to understand that even if I'm going to try my best,
if I need to explain to you everything that Jesus did, what He's doing right now,
and what He's going to do, eternity would not give me enough time.
Because John 21 verse 25 says,
Now, I humbly ask you to give me your time while I tell you about Jesus Christ.
The most incredible man that ever walked this earth, and we know He did.
Because everything the Bible tells us about Jesus is true.
We even have non-biblical accounts about Jesus.
Josephus, the Babylonian Talmud, Marabar, Serapion, Tacitus, and Pliny the Younger,
are some of the people who wrote about Jesus.
Tacitus, for example, he was a historian and a senator in the Roman Empire,
around the first century AD, and he wrote this about Jesus.
Christus, the founder of the name, was put to death by Pontius Pilate,
procurator of Judea in the reigning of Tiberias.
This confirms not only that Jesus existed at that time,
but it also tells us that what the Bible says about Jesus's crucifixion is true.
Now, let me tell you about Pliny the Younger.
He was the Roman governor of Bithynia and Pontus,
and he wrote a letter to the Emperor Trajan around 112 AD,
and asked for advice to deal with the Christians,
who in his words, sing responsibly a hymn to Christ as to a God.
Now, this also proves that Jesus was not just regarded as a man, but as God.
Now, let me tell you more about Jesus from those who lived with Him, among Him,
and who walked with Him.
John, one of His disciples, led by the Holy Spirit, wrote this.
John 1 verse 1 to 5,
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He was in the beginning with God.
All things were made through Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made.
In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
Wow! Do you get it?
You need to understand this.
Don't look at this just through religious eyes.
This is just the truth of life itself.
Jesus was there from the beginning, before humans were even there, with the Father.
You need to understand this.
All things, visible and invisible, was created for Jesus, by Jesus, and through Jesus,
and He sustains everything.
Colossians 1 verse 15,
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
For by Him, all things were created in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible,
whether thrones, or dominions, or rulers, or authorities.
All things were created through Him, and for Him, and He is before all things.
And in Him, all things hold together.
You need to understand that Jesus is God.
First, let's just go back in time.
First, He created the angels.
Then He created us, human beings.
Genesis 1 verse 27,
So God created man in His own image.
In the image of God, He created him.
Male and female, He created them.
God created all life to have free will, to make their own decisions.
If He did not do that, He would not be a God of love,
because then He would control us like robots.
He didn't want to do that.
So first, some of the angels rebelled against God.
Satan's pride, the sin of pride got hold of him, and he wanted to be like God.
No one deceived him.
He sinned himself, and Jesus Himself witnessed Satan's fall to earth.
Jesus said in Luke 10 verse 18,
And then Satan, also called the dragon of old, the snake or the serpent,
he went to earth to deceive Eve, the first female human being.
And then she then also caused Adam to sin as well.
And then sin came into the world.
This is called the fall.
Genesis 3 verse 13,
The woman said,
The serpent deceived me, and I ate.
Then, verse 24,
So God, who is a God of love,
we see how He used to have a relationship with the first human beings, Adam and Eve.
He even used to walk among them.
We even see that after they sinned, and then they tried to hid from Him.
Genesis 3 verse 8,
So sin came into the world when Adam and Eve sinned against God,
who is, you need to understand this, listen carefully,
who is perfect, pure, holy.
There's no darkness in Him, no sin in Him.
He cannot have a relationship with sin, with darkness.
So He cannot have a relationship with Adam and Eve.
So the world changed.
It fell into sin.
This is called the fall, as I explained earlier.
And now the rest of us human beings, we are all born from Adam and Eve.
So we are born in sin.
That means we are spiritually dead.
Romans 5 verse 12,
And so death spread to all men because all sinned.
And Psalm 51 verse 5 says,
So all human beings were separated from God because of our sinful condition.
Remember, I said God is holy.
He is perfect, pure.
He is light.
There's no darkness in Him.
So He cannot have a relationship with us who are born in sin.
Romans 3 verse 23,
And 1 John 1 verse 5 says,
So there was the problem.
Our amazing relationship with God Almighty, human beings,
being able to walk with God, a living relationship with Him,
destroyed because of sin.
But then God Almighty created a redemption plan for us because He loves us.
He who is holy and just had a just plan to bring us back into a loving relationship with Him,
where we can again worship Him in spirit and in truth.
John 3 verse 16,
Whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world,
but in order that the world might be saved through Him.
Whoever believes in Him is not condemned,
but whoever does not believe is condemned already
because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
Do you understand this?
Do you understand the importance of it, the redemption plan?
God the Father, He had to deal with sin because He couldn't have a relationship with us.
Even now, He can't have a relationship with you because of sin, right?
But even your best deeds cannot outweigh your sin.
Your deeds cannot save you.
So what He had to do because sin came into the world through Adam.
He needed one man to come and live a perfect life.
But even if you're a man, only a man cannot do it.
You need to be God as well that can deal with all of the sin.
So His Son, Jesus Christ came into the world.
He lived a perfect life and then He took all our sin upon Himself.
And then He received the punishment for that sin, which is death.
2 Corinthians 5 verse 21,
For our sake He made Him to be sin who knew no sin,
so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.
This was His plan thousands of years before Jesus even came to earth.
And you can read all about it in the Old Testament.
You can read about all the prophecies about the Messiah that would come.
And that is Jesus Christ.
You can see all the prophecies, how it came true in the New Testament.
For example, in the Old Testament, Isaiah 9 verse 6 says,
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government shall be upon His shoulders,
and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Daniel 7 verse 13 to 14,
I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven, there came One like a Son of Man.
And He came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before Him.
And to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom,
that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him.
His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away.
And His kingdom, one that shall not be destroyed.
These are just two prophecies.
There are over 300 of them.
There are detailed prophecies about Jesus' birth, His ministry, His death.
Even, you know, about His crucifixion, before crucifixion even existed.
Psalm 22 verse 16 says,
For dogs encompass me, that's referring to the Roman guards.
A company of evildoers encircles me.
They have pierced my hands and feet.
That's the crucifixion.
We see that it happened in John 19.
The Bible is the only book with so many prophecies that all came true.
No other religious book can even compare with it.
And that's why it's still the number one bestseller in the world.
You need to read the Bible, study it, to understand the truth of life itself.
It was also prophesied that Jesus, the Messiah, would come from the nation of Israel.
That's why the whole Old Testament is about the nation of Israel.
It is about Jesus.
That is why we see how the devil tried to stop the nation of Israel so many times,
because he wanted to stop the birth of the Messiah.
Micah 5 verse 2,
By you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah,
from you shall come forth for me, one who is to be ruler in Israel,
whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days.
The Bible also prophesies that Jesus, the Messiah, would stop the work of Satan.
That's why the devil tried so hard to stop the birth of Jesus.
When we look at how he tried to stop Israel and then even Mary.
But Jesus was born and He stopped the devil.
Even when He was older, the devil tried to stop Him.
Do you remember the part where Jesus went into the wilderness?
He spent 40 days, 40 nights fasting, and the devil tried to tempt Him without success.
The devil could not stop God's redemption plan.
And Jesus knew His purpose even back in Genesis.
Genesis 3 verse 15,
I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring.
He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.
Now we know this was fulfilled when Jesus Christ died on the cross,
breaking the hold that sin has over us.
We read in 1 John 3 verse 8,
Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil,
for the devil has been sinning from the beginning.
The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.
You need to understand this.
This physical world that you live in, it's not all the truth there is.
There is a spiritual world, and this spiritual world, it influences the physical.
The spiritual world is actually more real than the physical world,
because the physical world does not show you all the truth.
Your human eyes cannot see it.
Ephesians 6 verse 12 says,
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers,
against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness,
against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Now, do you remember that I told you that sin separated us from having a relationship with God, right?
But now Jesus Christ already came into the world,
so now you can have that relationship with God again.
You need to be spiritually reborn,
and that only happens if you accept what Jesus did on the cross for you,
that He took your punishment.
And that's not just a faith of,
Oh, I believe that Jesus is real, that God is real.
No, true faith is trust in Jesus Christ.
You need to trust that He has your back.
It's like if you jump out of a plane, when you use the parachute,
you need to trust that the parachute will save your life.
The same way with a car, if you put on the seat belt,
if you have a car crash, then you're going to be out that window,
but the seat belt, you need to trust in it that it's going to save you.
And that way you put your trust in Jesus Christ because He took your sins on the cross.
And if you believe it, then you become a child of God again,
and He gives His Spirit to you inside of you.
Then you're spiritually reborn, a new creation,
and you can see the spiritual world better
because then you start to live in the Spirit through the Spirit.
You don't just live by what you see with your physical eyes, but with your spiritual eyes.
God Almighty gives you new spiritual life,
and that is what Ezekiel talked about in the Old Testament already.
Chapter 36 verse 26,
And I will give you a new heart and a new spirit I will put within you,
and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statues and be careful to obey My rules.
When Jesus Christ, the Messiah, finally came into the world,
a massive amount of people started to follow Him
because they knew that He is the Son of God.
He is God. He is the Messiah.
They followed Him.
They left everything behind and they followed Jesus.
And Jesus said in John 10 verse 28,
I give them eternal life and they will never perish,
and no one will snatch them out of My hand.
You see, in that moment when you accept Jesus Christ,
God the Father declares you as righteous,
and you receive eternal life.
You get God's Spirit in you.
Ephesians 1 verse 13 says,
In Him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in Him,
were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,
who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it to the praise of His glory.
It is so amazing, guys, and that is why so many people cannot understand it.
People who do not know Jesus Christ,
they don't understand this because they are still blinded by the devil in this world.
But when you have Jesus, He gives you new spiritual life.
It is then when you truly become spiritually alive, a new creation.
2 Corinthians 5 verse 17,
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.
The old has passed away.
Behold, the new has come.
1 John 5 verse 12 says,
Whoever has the Son has life.
Whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
So now, when you are born again, spiritually born again, you have a true relationship with Jesus Christ.
Even though you are still in this sinful world,
where the devil walks around like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour,
you are saved by Jesus Christ.
You are already declared righteous by God the Father,
because now when He looks at you, He looks through Jesus Christ who died for your sins.
Your sins, all the things that you've done, Jesus already paid for that.
You see, Jesus came to set you free from your sin,
to come to bring you the truth, understanding of who He is.
1 John 5 verse 18,
We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning,
but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.
We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding,
so that we may know Him who is true.
And we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ.
He is the true God and eternal life.
You need to understand this, Jesus Christ is the only way to eternal life.
He is the only mediator between us, humankind, and God.
There's no one else under heaven who can save you.
Not yourself, not your parents, not your family, not Buddha, not Mohammed,
not some spiritual force in the air, nothing and no one except Jesus Christ.
John 14 verse 6 says,
Jesus said to him,
I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me.
And 1 Timothy 2 verse 3 says,
This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior,
who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men,
the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all,
which is the testimony given at the proper time.
You need to understand that Jesus Christ is God.
When He was here on earth, He wasn't just 100% human.
He was also 100% God, both at the same time.
Jesus Christ, the Son, is God.
God the Father is God, and God the Holy Spirit is God.
All three of them, one being.
And even though that might be hard for you to understand,
I still need to make a video about that.
But you need to understand that it is the truth.
God is far above what we can even try to imagine with our small brains.
We are created beings.
So that's why it is hard for us to understand.
But Jesus Himself is God.
Jesus said in John 10 verse 30,
I and the Father are one.
And He said in John 8 verse 58,
Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.
What a powerful statement!
Exodus 3 verse 14,
God said to Moses,
I am who I am.
And He said, say this to the people of Israel,
I am has sent me to you.
Thomas also called Jesus God.
He said, waiting for a blessed hope,
the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
And then we know that God the Father calls Jesus God as well.
Hebrews 1 verse 8,
But of the Son, He says,
Your throne, O God, is forever and ever.
The scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom.
And even in the Old Testament, the Messiah is called God.
Isaiah 9 verse 6,
For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given,
and the government shall be upon His shoulders,
and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Now we know that what the Bible says about Jesus is true.
Because of so many things, the prophecies about non-biblical writers,
we know that He is true.
Even in Islam, they know that Jesus, they just call Him a prophet, Isa.
That He was real.
Now today, a lot of people just say,
Yeah, I like Jesus.
He was a great man.
He was a great teacher.
Well, you have to be honest with yourself.
If He was not God,
He would either be a lunatic talking about crazy things,
or He would be God and you need to listen to Him.
You either need to believe He talked and He spewed just out lies,
or He spoke the truth.
There's no middleman of, Oh, He was a great teacher.
C.S. Lewis, he pointed this out as well.
And he said,
I'm trying here to prevent anyone from saying the really foolish thing
that people often say about Him, Jesus Christ.
Saying, I'm ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher,
but I don't accept His claim to be God.
This is one of the things we must not say.
A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said,
would not be a great moral teacher.
He would either be a lunatic on a level with a man who says He is a poached egg,
or else He would be the devil of hell.
You must make your choice.
Either this man was and is the Son of God,
or else a madman or something worse.
You can shut him up for a fool.
You can spit at him and kill him as a demon,
or you can fall at his feet and call him Lord and God.
But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher.
He has not left that option open to us.
He did not intend to.
Jesus Christ is God, and He is a God of love.
He is God, and He came here to save you because He loves you,
so that you can know Him personally.
Jesus said in John 10 verse 10,
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.
I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
Jesus loves you even while you're still a sinner.
That just shows you the amount of love that He has, which is unconditional love.
He cannot have a relationship with sin, with someone who has sin,
because there's no sin in Him, but He still loves you.
That just shows you how much He loves you,
and He's still reaching out His hand because He wants you to come to Him.
Even though you're spiritually dead, He wants to give you spiritual life.
He wants you to repent of your sins and to accept Him as Lord and Savior.
Romans 5 verse 8,
But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Jesus did not come to save people who think that they are already perfect.
He came to save sinners.
I used to be among them.
One of the worst sinners.
Arrogant, living according to my flesh, drinking, treating people bad.
I used to be one of the worst sinners.
So Jesus came for me and for people like me.
Jesus said in Mark 2 verse 17,
It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.
I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.
Now, if you are a sinner, don't you think it's time to reach out to Jesus before it is too late?
Every day that you are still breathing, even the fact that you're breathing,
that comes from God who is sustaining all life and He's giving you a time, a time period.
You don't know when that time will be done.
If you die today, where will you go?
You can only go to heaven through Jesus Christ.
You can only have eternal life if you are spiritually reborn,
if you accept Him as Lord and Savior.
James 4 verse 8,
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
You might say, well, I'm not a bad person.
You need to understand that God is holy.
If you broke one law, you broke all of them.
And you cannot, even with your good deeds, prove to God that you are good.
Because God is so holy that even your best deeds are like filthy rags for Him.
And He doesn't even work in a courtroom that way.
If you go into the court, if you did something, stole, murdered someone, did something bad,
and you stand in the courtroom and the judge says,
All right, you stole this, you murdered someone, so I have to put you into jail for life.
And you say, well, well, judge, wait a minute.
I did a lot of good things.
You know, I did this and this.
It doesn't matter.
Your good deed doesn't matter.
It doesn't take what you did, your sin, it doesn't take it away.
You still did it.
If that judge is a righteous judge, he will still deal out the punishment.
But now, that's the thing with Jesus Christ.
He came and He said, here I am, I'll take your punishment.
I myself, and I'll die in your place.
John 3 verse 16,
You see, God did not create hell for human beings.
He created it intentionally for the devil and his demons.
And He's doing everything in His power to keep you out of it.
But you have the choice.
God is holy and He is righteous.
So He cannot have a relationship with you who lives in sin, who are spiritually dead.
So the only way to have eternal life is through Jesus Christ.
And Jesus wants you to reach out to Him, to accept Him.
So what will you do?
Because every second that clicks on that clock is a second closer to your death.
There is a time to be born.
And then you've got to make your decision in this temporary world.
Because there will be a day when you will die.
And even if you don't make any decision, that is also a decision.
Because you choose not to choose Jesus Christ.
John 1 verse 10 says,
He was in the world and the world was made through Him.
Yet the world did not know Him.
He came to His own, and His own people did not receive Him.
But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name,
He gave the right to become children of God,
who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Now, if you want to become a real reborn Christian,
if you want to become a child of God, then do it today.
Don't wait any longer.
And watch one of these videos here, and it will help you.
And always remember before you go,
God loves you, and I love you too.
