An Art Exhibit Like No Other: Killed for their Belief in Truth-Compassion-Tolerance #falundafa #stoppersecutionfalungong
Falun Dafa, also know as Falun Gong, is an ancient energy practice from ancient China that millions around the world have made a part of their lives. It consists of two main components: gentle exercises and meditation, and self-improvement centered around truthfulness, compassion and tolerance. People who practice Falun Dafa often find it to be life-changing. Many experience dramatic health benefits as well as newfound energy and mental clarity.
The artists practitice Falun Dafa. The paintings depict examples of torture thousands of practitioners have endured while being unlawfully detained and are meant to draw attention to the grave human rights violations in China. Falun Gong practitioners have met the persecution with an uncompromising courage, responding to hatred and brutality with grand compassion, endurance and an unwavering commitment to justice.
San Diego Falun Dafa practitioners are holding a monthly art exhibit in Balboa Park to make people aware of the persecution of them in China by the Chinese Communist regime. By 1999 the practice had attracted tens of millions of followers in China. That's when Jiang Zemin, the then head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) perceived Falun Gong as an ideological threat and order the practice eradicated. Falun Dafa's teachings advocate truthfulness, compassion and tolerance, which is the opposite of the CCP's practice of class struggle, deception and violence. Countless numbers of Falun Dafa practitioners have lost their lives due to the persecution, which continues to the present––April 2024.
Learning Falun Dafa is always free and everyone is welcome. Find a practice site or learn online at falundafa.org
The next art exhibits will take place on May 25, June 22, August 24 and September 21 of 2024.
With music composed and performed by Falun Dafa practitioners.
