
House GOP Group Calls for Columbia President's Resignation
House Speaker Mike Johnson led a group of Republican colleagues on Wednesday, calling for Columbia University President Minouche Shafik to resign her post after talking with Jewish students at the college about verbal and physical attacks against them.
Competing with shouting anti-Israel protesters on the Columbia campus, the delegation ripped the demonstrators for "supporting Hamas" and President Shafik for not being able to protect her Jewish students, also alleging her inaction amid calls to do so.
