Food Storage: Freeze Dried Pickles and Cubed Ham

Freeze-dried foods can be a great way to build your long term food supply regardless of any unique dietary restraints that you may have. In this video, we experimented with freeze-drying pickles and some leftover cubed ham.

I was seriously impressed with the way the ham turned out. It reconstituted to almost the original flavor and texture. What a fantastic way to store meat! The sweet pickles were not a success due to the sugar content but the dill pickles were a bit salty but great.
