(Bundesliga 2023/2024): Highlights Leipzig - Mainz

Against Torquia to score the opening goal. That's down the line for Openda and it was cut back. There's a big shot for Handball and the referee agrees. Seven minutes in, it is a penalty. And then he pointed to the spot. It's Openda's run from a intelligent ball by Henriks, the cutback. So the referee says no penalty. He fires one into Xavi. This is Schlager and now Raum and that combination has worked nicely. And that's a brilliant delivery. Super save too. Olmo, there's an option on the right hand side for Henriks. And that's for Openda. Flag is up. He thought he'd done it. Henriks just delayed the pass a little. He checked his run, but he couldn't get back onside. There's the somersault. But there's the flag for Holmgartner, for Olmo. Really deft bit of work. Now back on the right and now heading goalward. Schlager, fine save from Zettner. And Gierwojgi does what's needed. Schlager, dancing away. Laid off for Kampol and deflected off Openda. Raum this time. Again, the different kind of delivery. Whipped in by Xavi and almost all the way through. Real pace. Olmo, that's a fabulous save. Flashing header and a flying stop. Such great reactions. It's a really instinctive stop because it's in such close range. Dani Olmo gets the contact. Olmo, driven and then driven wide. Just a touch from Poulsen. Olmo, what a lovely ball. Sechko is onside. He tries to chip it past Zettner. Three to go. They steal all three points. Widmer. Oh, they should have done. Barrero with a moment. Protects the ball from Schlager, who then gets it back off him. Twist of the ankle. This is very, very close. He does kick the back of his boot, but then he goes down afterwards. This could be given, you know. No, it's not going to be given. I think there's a bit of common sense prevailing there. Is this going to be seen off? It's a Miri's corner. Vandenberg, comfortable for Gulashi. There is full time and there will be no winner in the Red Bull Arena. But a point here might feel like more.
