First impressions of the 2024 Royal Enfield Himalayan by Dave Darcy, shooter producer of Motorcycle Adventure Dirtbike TV (MADTV). Dave attended the Australian Press Launch of the Himalayan 450 and rode it for two half days in a range of riding conditions. Normally Dave prides himself in thorough reviews covering thousands of kilometres over a couple of weeks. Despite the short time with the bike, Dave gained a reasonably good understanding of what the Himalayan has to offer Australian adventure riders. Dave was surprised by how good the standard bike handled dirt conditions and how it showed strong potential as an adventure mount. He identified it was surprisingly good value at $9990 backed up with a three year warranty and roadside assist.
