Michio Kaku Breaks In Tears 'The Moon Is NOT What You Think!'
On 14 December 1972, Gene Cernan, the mission commander for Apollo 17, stood at the foot of the lunar landing module and said, “…I take man’s last step from the surface, back home for some time to come – but we believe not too long into the future.”
He was the 12th, and last, person to walk on the Moon, and clearly anticipated a relatively prompt return.
Unfortunately, that was not to be!
Fifty years after the most recent crewed moon landing, nobody has visited the Moon.
