What's up beautiful people? It is our last day here in Switzerland.
It's hard times. But we've had an absolutely brilliant time and this morning we're still
in Samoritz and we're going to do something that we've wanted to do all week and haven't
quite managed which is walk around this beautiful lake and the weather has come out to play.
Although it is a bit chilly still we're out at like 9am right now so it is
9 degrees. No snow at all left on those mountains.
Just up here is Piz Languard. That's the mountain that we climbed right to the top of.
My second day here.
That hike in particular because it was still fairly clear when we got up to the top.
A great view. It was perfect.
The Bodruks Palace is with the green sort of roof and then the Kulm is the yellow one up
on the hill with all the grass running down below it and then in front of there is this
grey sort of block of flats that's quite low rise only four stories high and where that
is now that was called the Grand Hotel Samoritz.
It was constructed in 1902 but it had quite a lot of competition from the other two hotels
because of where it was it took a lot of their business and in 1944 there was a huge fire
and it completely burned down so it's a little bit mysterious that it was in competition with
the other hotels and then it burned down.
It said online that it was like a small kitchen fire that just broke loose.
Convenient for the other ones.
I know but then because of the war it was never rebuilt and then it was demolished
and now there's flats there.
Look at the colour of that water.
Wait a minute that would be a really nice pic.
Just said goodbye to Nona and Grandpa.
A bit emotional I think.
But now we're back on the train.
Window right from there.
And this is the same price.
All the way up.
This is second class so this is like the same price as normal.
Amazing.
This is where I learned to ski in Cianarino.
All around here?
Yeah.
On these slopes?
Literally on these slopes here's where I first learned to ski.
And now you're a pro.
24 years ago I learned to ski when I was four.
The grass is so like luscious and green.
Verdant.
Look there's a train spotter.
So the last train was running like five or six minutes late for pretty much the whole journey.
We had a four minute layover in Coor where we just were so we had to rush on.
Put locker in facility 21.
Close the door by clicking it into place.
Something's going on.
Wow look at this building.
Now it's time to spend the next couple hours exploring Zurich.
First thing we want to do is head to the old town and grab a coffee.
That was very nice.
Where are they from?
Istanbul.
We will make friends anywhere.
Time for some last minute shopping.
There is a market.
I will find it.
Oh wow that went amazing in the light then.
Lovely.
Nice.
What was it called?
Labradorite.
Yeah I'm happy.
Look at the walls.
I swear just everything in Switzerland is beautiful.
Like it has all of the nature that we've just spent the last weekend.
Then you come to the city like this and it's just stunning.
Oh wow.
It's a historic observatory called the Urania Sternwacht Zurich.
My German Swiss is getting good isn't it?
My Swiss German is getting good right?
Are you ready?
How do you ask it to remain seated?
Top class trip right there.
Huge huge thank you to Nonna and Grandpa.
They were the best hosts ever.
Who put us up.
Who sorted everything out.
Who fed us.
Chauffeured us.
It was just the best trip.
