How I Became a Runner
1 Video View·Apr 2, 2024
When Alan moved to Seattle in 2020, he didn’t call himself a runner. He was as a lover of mountain running who ran on road only occasionally and reluctantly. Over the past 3 years, Alan has racked up thousands of miles on road and trail exploring the northwest and deepening his connection to running—he ran the Wonderland Trail around Mount Rainier, raced the New York City Marathon (and then learned how to train for a marathon), ran the Grand Canyon, and got his marathon PR at the Whidbey Island Marathon. Now Alan’s heading home to southern California to his next adventure and with a new relationship with running.
