(Laliga 2023/2024): Highlights ATHLETIC CLUB - BARCELONA

Goodwin taps this back. There's plenty of time for Franky de Jong to send one in. Overhead kick attempt from Jules Gouraud. Gouraud tries to limit the options. Still Franky de Jong too beforehand. Rushing across to prevent any strike. Comes to a premature end on 25 minutes. Does have some first team experience. Now has a first team number at Athletic Club. Nice play to attack. Maybe Fermin. Closed down by Unai Simon. And that long range effort has to be cleared off the line by Urai Alvarez. An audacious attempt with the Athletic Club. Still waiting in the box. Guruset is there as well. The shot takes a deflection. Marc-Andre Testega makes the save. Going in those positions allows either Imanolo, Unai Gomez to run into the space. Barca have been the walking wounded for the last few weeks. Xavi has been moaned. He didn't play against Getafe. It's the 13th time he comes off the bench this season. This is Iñaki Williams taking on Koundé. Tries from a narrow angle. Barca will look for long balls in the second half. Just after that long ball to Rafinha. He was given instructions to... Here's Unai Gomez with the low shot that goes wide. Koundé to Fermin. Fermin from distance skims that one along the playing surface. Takes on Koundé. Or sends him the wrong way and tried to bring that across. Athletic players made a barrier in front of him. He tries for the 1-2. It was set up for a shot. It is firmly closed down. The more control, the more possession, the more chances. Here's Berenguer going for a shot. It ricochets around the box. A follow-up from Unai Gomez. I think it is about to come on. And they have lacked that a bit, maybe. Here's Lewandowski. Lewandowski to the feet of Joao Felix. He tries to get a shot off. And Joao Cancelo mishits the ball from corners from the left-hand side. Tends to send them in a fairly low trajectory towards the near post. That was a long one to the back stick. The header down. Goes wide of goal. Dannings goalless at San Mames. Toussaint slightly out of sorts. Will get a point apiece. Not a vintage game for Barca today when perhaps Gajska needed to make a statement. They did, but they didn't.
