【Stirring Up Water on the River】

The film portrayed the real life of people in Cô-sầu Mountain. It has put an emphasis on the relationship between a maiden named Mảy-lìn and the two men named Tài-pẩu and Chẩng. The winds of adversity begins to hit Mảy-lìn at the wedding night and her husband - Tài-pẩu - realizes that she is no longer a virgin and the baby born after that is not his child. Mảy-lìn has to live in suffering and torment for a long time. But with love, generosity and tolerance, Tài-pẩu forgives Mảy-lìn in order to build a happy life with her. But life is ironic that when Mảy-lìn feels the happiest is when she has to receive the loss and pain caused by Chẩng - a crafty and deceitful man - characterizing the bad and evil which are creeping into the mountains and forests.

Truyện phim phỏng theo tiểu thuyết Hoa Mận Đỏ của tác giả Cao Duy Sơn, kể về thôn nữ Mảy Lìn ba lần phải trả giá đắt vì không cưỡng được dục vọng. Số phận cô chỉ toàn sự buồn vì hai người đàn ông - Tài Pẩu và Chẩng - những oán ân tình thù cứ thế đan xen. Phim rất hay, đã chiếu trong chương trình Điện Ảnh Chiều Thứ Bảy trên VTV3 !
