Let's go shopping to COS together! Feel like there's so much more I could have tried on. I do really enjoy looking at what they put out and I love their campaign imagery for this season. Apologies for the lateness of this video but I have already filmed next weeks! Thank you for all of your kind comments recently getting comments is my favourite part of putting up these videos as it's lovely to hear your thoughts! Affiliate links for everything are below.
So COS is actually short for collection of style,
the brand's design ethos is pieces made to last
focusing on craftsmanship and apparently the brand's marketing strategy
has long sought to associate it with art and design.
I've come to the COS in Stratford Westfield, it's not my favourite,
something about the glass walls aren't doing the lighting any favours
but we can see pops of red and neutral tones coming through in this season's
This Loewe inspired bag I've been seeing on lots of people
and I really enjoy it but I'm especially excited by this
The Row inspired bag, the red is actually already sold out online I've noticed.
I'm gutted I didn't try on this red dress as it looks so
beautiful online on the model but there was a snag at the neckline that put me
off, however it did feel heavy and almost
I think it's a reasonable price point considering I recently paid only a
little less than that to rent a dress. The way COS really wants to associate
itself with art and design I feel really comes across with trousers
like this. The wrap front is really clever pattern
cutting and I'm including the Acne Studios
comparison so you can see where they're inspired by luxury brands that also have
artistic inspirations at their core. I actually made myself a pair of trousers
like this a decade ago which was before I started
my own brand. Here we can really see COS's
interpretation of those spring summer trends I was
talking about in my last video with the pleated
skirts and the contrast trims with that black and
white trim. I carried as much as I could with me to
the changing rooms and you'll see some colourful pieces in
there as we are going into spring summer. I
always feel a little bit more colourful, I've been really sticking to neutrals
recently. First up this pink long line
linen blend waistcoat. I'm not sure about it styled with these jeans it just feels
a little bit too stiff with jeans but I love the
clean lines and this beautiful pale pink
although when it comes to the colour theory I'm not sure
pale pink is my colour, I'd be interested to know
what you think. I much prefer it styled with the
matching long linen blend skirt. I feel like this is an amazing sort of
high summer outfit, really put together very Sofia Richie
that kind of vibe and the skirt has splits in the side
and one in the back maybe. Please imagine I'm wearing this
with lovely sandals and not trainers and socks, that is a problem throughout. I
wish I had not worn these trainers and socks
to try on all these pieces because they really don't work but
overall I feel like this is such a statement
gorgeous summer set and I'm trying to give you
a little close-up of the fabric there because
it is really lovely. Definitely not like me to reach for the
tight dress but there was something about this
knit that was just so heavy and structured
it really feels like it's holding you in, I don't feel
super exposed considering it's so skin tight and it's got this really
interesting open back that again with that big
piece of knit across the middle it just doesn't feel too exposed
it's nice open back without feeling too naked I really love those
shoulders it's got quite a like strong shoulder to it hasn't got pads or
anything it was just the cut of it and this dark green I feel
like it's a really beautiful color. Next is denim jacket which is just an
oversized shape it's a nice cut I don't think it's anything really
innovative I feel like I've had ones from Topshop and
Zara that have been quite similar but I did like how
sort of flat it was it just seemed like a very
tailored denim jacket if that makes sense like all the seams were really
pressed and it was a really nice medium weight
wasn't light wasn't really heavy overall a nice denim jacket.
First up these trousers so they are a lovely fabric they're wool
and they've got this sort of lined pattern throughout
but they're just so wide leg. Cos loves a wide leg and it just hits me
in a funny place it's a bit long on the
shoes and yeah I just feel like they're a
little bit too wide leg but I really like this like
beigey color with the dark brown lines running through it
I feel like there's such an interesting texture it's lovely to have like a nice
texture and variety in summer clothing. I love this vest top
this color is really interesting and I actually came away with this
tank top so I'll be interested to know whether you think this color suits me
because I love it I feel like it's not anything
I've seen anywhere else it's just a unique shade of that sort of
dark brown I'm really into browns for summer
I feel and yeah that came away with me I much preferred the black
waistcoat to the pink I maybe black suits me more I just
I feel more comfortable in it and I actually loved it with this
light color trouser overall I really like this
whole look and I definitely prefer the black
waistcoat I love it it's long line this was a bit of a rogue one I'm always
attracted to matching sets and these this jacket and
trouser combo was actually made out of the same
fabric although they don't feel to me like they're really meant to be
worn together the trousers just hit the floor on me
and cover up my shoes it's such a weird silhouette I'd be interested to hear
your thoughts like what is there about you just can't see
my shoes what what shoes should I be wearing I don't know I feel like it's
just it's made me got it made me look like I
got hooves anyway the jacket I liked better than
the trousers but I wasn't sure how you'd style it
it was quite pinched in at the waist it had these lovely sort of like
shaped sleeves I love that shape of sleeve
for that this season I feel like that's really coming in the sort of
curved sleeve and yeah I just really liked how minimal it was
but not sure on styling for this jacket so yeah I came away with that vest top
and I just think it's a beautiful color and it's going to be amazing
for spring summer I thought I would pop into Unico
as I haven't been in there a long time and going from COS to Unico
made Unico very disappointing these trousers are meant to be amazing
and just the way the fabric was falling is really unsatisfactory to me
it just it has like an unnatural sort of
papery effect to it and yeah I was really really not impressed
by these trousers when I thought I might be the t-shirt
looked great on the hanger but again on me for some reasons very unflattering
maybe this is down to their changing rooms and their lighting
I don't know but I even a grey t-shirt and I
you'd think I'd like that but no tried it on
in the stripe because I feel like stripes are a great
spring summer staple really good for styling but again
it's just hitting me in the wrong places and
I feel like it's just not very flattering as t-shirts go which was
really disappointing and finally I tried on
this black and white striped vest top it's actually got an inbuilt bra in it
which I thought was a really interesting concept because sometimes you do want to
wear a bra with a vest top and it's not always possible
but again I don't like the shape of this vest
for some reason it just wasn't quite sitting right on me when it feels like
it would be such a good spring summer easy to style staple
but I came away unimpressed I was impressed by the fact they had
an alteration service I need that in COS but yeah that's it
