Buckingham Palace searching for new ‘social media’ expert after Princess Kate's photo scandal

Buckingham Palace is seeking to hire a “communications” professional who will be responsible for producing social media content.

It comes as the Palace experienced a PR disaster for its handling of the Mother’s Day photograph, which had been doctored.

According to the job posting, the Palace’s Private Secretary department is searching for someone who has an “interest in media relations” and an “eye for detail”.

Sky News Digital Presenter Gabriella Power said the Palace “needs all the PR help it can get” after the photo controversy.

Ms Power said the Palace’s PR department has been “failing” to protect the Royal Family, while Princess Catherine has been recovering from surgery.
