why can't America have nice things for
example Uber Eats robot deliveries in
the city let's talk about it I think I
know the reasons but I don't want to say
let's run the
[Music]
clip this is is it Andrew Uber Eats
little green robots delivering KATU in
Tokyo and people think Andrew this is
going to work in Japan in a way Andrew
it will never be able to work in America
so we're going to get into the reasons
why is the internet talking about this
make sure you like subscribe turn on

sauce.com Andrew why can't we have nice
things in America like robot delivery or
or do we because we don't eat enough
Ramen and katsu Sandos um but no I mean
well there's a lot of reasons we're
going to go through them some are
obvious but some are maybe not so
obvious but basically robot delivery
services are something that people have
been doing for a couple years and
they've been testing it in like more
rural suburban markets like Suburban
College campuses for example like in
Virginia and Ohio Carnegie melon in
Pittsburgh Carnegie melon and Pittsburgh
you know not the city city centers
because I think there's a lot of issues
which we're going to share but uh yeah
they're trying to see if if it's going
to be cost effective is it going to be
accurate is it going to be safe is it
really what it's all cracked up to be
right anyway guys I mean it's like it
could work in a college campus
especially a good college campus
University of Pitts cardig melon but is
almost Japan as an entire country almost
like a college educated safe College
population you know what I mean like
it's almost like a country that operates
almost like a good college right right
right so anyways let's get into the
reasons of why America specifically will
never have robot deliveries widespread
in my opinion well let's just get it out
of the way Andrew America is like a
hundred times more dangerous than Japan
in Japan there's a show on Netflix
called old enough where literally it is
like 5-year-old toddlers running errands
for their parents yeah they would never
promote this show in America because you
don't want to promote toddlers being out
in public so I had to Google it to see
how true it is and that show might be a
little exaggerated but you're able to be
like 11 and 12 and like go to the
grocery store by yourself in like take
the train go there shop and bring it
back to your parents and without fear of
like essentially getting killed and
ending up on a milk carton right also uh
people really hate robots in America
they don't trust them for a number of
reasons they really think that robots
could be spying maybe they'll explode
maybe they'll short circuit so Americans
in general like kind of like I would say
Western culture is to not trust robots
as much but I think in Japan robots have
a different relationship with people so
they're just more like okay with it and
are you referring to the plot of the
movie The Creator where literally the
East Embraces and lives alongside the
robots in the Western countries like go
to war with the robots yeah yeah yeah
David I got a really funny uh
hypothetical scenario that I'm going to
say and just to back up what you said
there was a hitchhiking robot from
Canada Andrew that went all around
Sweden Switzerland all around Canada
basically people would like pick up the
robot it would tell them where to drop
it off and it was kind of like this you
know Hands Across America thing Andrew
the robot was immediately destroyed in
Philadelphia when it arrived a few years
ago I don't put it past Philly man to
destroy the robot so another reason is
that a lot of people don't think I think
actually infrastructure wise in the
cities there's too many potholes the
sidewalks are too small and the roads
are too Rocky for these little robots to
roll on the sidewalks in Tokyo are
gigantic yeah and they're clean right
clean and large uh also people will run
over these robots in their cars in
America in America we like big cars we
drive fast a lot of people are going to
want you speed on a yellow in Japan they
probably slow on a yellow I mean dude if
the robots got across the street and
it's between hitting a human or the
you're going to hit the robot uh I mean
it's almost like the way people treat
even other humans here how are they
going to treat a robot yeah listen if
even you know there's certain Asian
people or Elder people that are getting
bullied on the streets you can only
imagine a robot that can't defend itself
um people will steal the food Andrew
there's actually no crackheads in Japan
literally and it's already happened even
for the robot deliveries where they're
trying to you know put them in Irvine or
stuff like that like even then sometimes
they get the food jacked out of the main
compartment yeah already you know uh I
don't yeah I don't know if it's only the
cracket but those those would be the
primary suspects uh David this is a
funny
reason the amount of lawsuits that
people would have in case the robot
hurts them or gets in their way so think
about it in America people love suing
people imagine one of these robots rolls
over your foot hurts your foot trips you
you fall you break your arm you sprain
something you're going to want to sue
this robot company are you referring
Andrew to the self-driving AI cars in SF
that had some accidents even though some
people say that that was also human
error it's like combined it's like
you're somebody running The Pedestrian
light the robot can't react quick enough
and then you end up burning one down in
Chinatown and then who are you going to
trust are you going to trust the
evidence from the robot or the human
because maybe the robot does have a
camera so then they'll capture what
happens so I guess they'll be able to
kind of be like its own body camera you
know what I mean Americans just made
movies like ioot but like Asians they
just are marrying robots it's a very
different perspective as like will
embrace the robots and live with them
and let's be honest some Western People
literally think Asians are robots
already well if I get the I already got
a couple Asians on my squad that's close
enough goddamn close enough to them
automatons already I don't need a real
fullon automaton also these robots are
limited you know they roll on wheels so
they can't go upstairs or go up Ledges
and stuff like that so obviously like
that's going to be limiting like what
are you on Americans to come down from
their building to go grab their food
they cannot hit an elevator button it is
true um why do you think people just
feel like you can't have nice things in
America man is it a lot of people were
pointing to the violent culture in
America it was a violent revolution from
the British obviously it got really
violent towards the Native Americans
when they came here violence is built
into the fabric of America I don't know
man you want to talk about Revolution I
think this is how the robot Revolution
starts I think there's robot delivery
little robots in Philadelphia and like
little Wallies yeah and then they start
getting bullied all the time because
people start breaking them and attacking
them are you are you saying cuz Philly's
trashy I didn't say that I'm just saying
it's a rough play so and then the robots
learn to fight back but when the robots
learn to defend themselves they end up
hurting the humans but then that
inspires a whole robot uprise because
they know the robots are getting
attacked so if we keep attacking these
delivery robots they're going to learn
how to defend themselves for
self-preservation reasons and then
they're going to get stronger and
smarter because you know what war makes
you do it makes you advance and it makes
you innovate right so you're saying that
Philadelphia will be so mean to the
trying to be helpful robots the robots
will reconsider their allegiance to the
humans yeah and that's how the robot
Uprising begins lit yeah you that also
was actually in the beginning of the
Creator too well but of the delivery I'm
saying yeah yeah well you know anyways
there's always some type of Uprising
whatever it is I don't want to blame it
on Philly but you know just America in
general just not if in America it never
works like are we just going to be
denied this like great thing that
they're going to have in Japan forever
cuz like if I'm saying if the robot
deliveries just keep getting more and
more advanced there and then we can
never have them because we can't have
nice things in America that sucks well
why don't you just move on and go back
to college at maybe uh Virginia Tech
where they got these little robots
roaming around David go back to school
get your degree just like your papa says
man it is just going to be in the future
you're going to have countries that have
robots doing everything in countries
that don't anyway guys let us know what
you think in the comments section below
until next time we the hot poot boys we
out
peace
