WHAT I WORE THIS WEEK _ spring outfits, casual outfits, transitional (BQ)

Good morning! Welcome back to the vlog and what I wore in a week. Early spring transitional dressing edition. I'm heading into London today because I've got two meetings with brands which will be really lovely to catch up and find out what they have new going on this year and then I'm going to an exciting gala this evening at the National History Museum which I'm super excited about. So this is my outfit for casual meetings. We're meeting at Mortimer House which is a lunch, like coffee, popular working space in London. I've decided to go for a tweed striped jacket. This is new in from Abercrombie. I think it's really gorgeous for spring. Love the shape of it. It's like this boxy structured shape with gold buttons which I think looks fabulous and then I'm wearing blue straight leg high waist jeans. These are actually also from Abercrombie, my first pair of Abercrombie jeans because I saw so many people talk about how comfortable and nice the curve range fit so I thought why not because I do always find it quite hard to find jeans that fit my waist but then also like my bum and look good length wise because I'm five foot three. So I got these in a size waist 24 short length and they're just perfect. I've got two-tone shoes on from River Island with the beige and the black which is giving all the Chanel vibes and then a black ribbed vest from Under the Stories which really helps to cinch me in. Then I've got my chunky heart earrings in from ASOS. I love these. I thought I'd wear them for the day because I just love a gold chunky statement earring. You guys know that I always bang on about that. I've got my trusty white Tamellia bag with my phone charm hanging out on the side and this just goes really nicely with the tweed jacket. Also I love the New Yorker style of the Tamellia bag, this style, because it fits so much. It's one of those handbags if you're rushing out the door like I am today you can shove everything in and it just fits. I've got so much in here. I've got a belt, my sunglasses, my work phone, so many things. Power bank, camera, honestly and it just feels like Mary Poppins bag. And then because it's London and we're still not quite in spring, spring doesn't start until March the 20th I believe in this part of the world, I'm chucking on a trench coat. Trench coat is such a trusty piece in my spring wardrobe. I throw it on all the time. It can make the most simple outfit look chic. This one's last year from And Other Stories. I believe they have the same one in this year as well and I'm just wearing this on top as an extra layer. It's not too stuffy, it's nice and lightweight but at the same time it's the extra layer that I need because it's not warm outside yet and it looks a bit grey today too. I love the length of it, I think it's really smart. I used to wear this for work wear as well, like meetings, going into the city. I think this long line style of trench coat is the most versatile because you can wear it for smart, going to the office, you can wear it for more like casual occasions, coffee dates, you can wear it with trainers and automatically dress it down. I think it just looks very chic and elevated. Ryan is telling me that we need to leave to catch my train. So this is the final outfit of the day, heading into the city. I will show you guys what dress I go for for the gala tonight too. This is my spring outfit meetings in the city. Look at this bed, so nice. I'm going to get a good night's sleep and then this is the bathroom. So we've got the shower, huge big mirror which is appreciated and decent lighting and the bathroom. The design of everything is so cute. I love this wooden like natural bamboo vibe that they've got going on. Then we've got ceiling to floor windows which is amazing because lots of natural light. Then we've got this really cute lounge space with a sofa so this will be so nice later when we're doing the finishing touches. We can have a little glass of champagne or bubbly while we're getting ready. So cute and then they've got, whoa, what is this? Is this where the minibar is? Oh wow, that is cool. I thought that was like maybe a second wardrobe. That's so cool. Yeah, just stunning, stunning vibes. Time to get ready for the gala. Me and Liv have got these gorgeous makeup bags from Katie Lobson. I just realised that the name on mine is actually wrong because obviously my name is Olivia Anne, middle name Anne, but it's A-O. I don't mind, still looks cool. And with the embroidery, it's not my name but it's mine. But it fits so much. This is the first time I actually put all my makeup inside but look I've got all my makeup in here, all my brushes, little compartments if you want to hide different things away or keep things separate like I've put some eyeliners in here and then I've got my trusty Beauty Pie transparent bag for my skincare. So nice, I love it in black, very chic in black. We are ready for the gala. I decided to go for the black dress because black is simple and just wasn't feeling the red today. I'm wearing a necklace from Carrot London. It's like a diamond tennis necklace which I think is so pretty for evening, more special type of events and I've got these really beautiful earrings on. I actually bought them in the Philippines because I don't really have many silver earrings and I think they really work with the glam. Let me show you my dress. The little house of CV number. Stunning. Must put my shoes on because my toes are not painted. Beautiful. Gorgeous. Time for lips. Decided to go for quite a nude brown type of makeup look because I think that looks classic and I wanted to look like classic and chic for tonight and I've got this gorgeous sparkly peachy lip gloss from Dior. It's the Lip Maximizer. You can see the colour here, such a gorgeous like topaz-y peachy colour and it's just such a nice topper for a nude lip and brown liner and ready to go. Also guys, I have to tell you about this glow oil. It's from Sol De Janeiro and it's the bronze Copacabana bronze glow oil. I've got it on now, not gonna put any more on because as you can see looking very very bronze already. It smells amazing and it just gives your skin such a gorgeous glow for like evening or special occasions. It is a night out evening essential and if you can get a thick brush like this to apply it then just makes life so much easier. You don't miss any bits at all. Good morning! I know this is supposed to be a what I wore in a week vlog but it's turning into a bit of a London Diaries vlog too. We've just woken up two hours ago. Don't know why I said I just woke up. Breakfast has come. The sun is shining in London which is such a nice treat. The weather's been a bit rubbish lately. The gala last night was lots of fun. It was very chaotic I must say to begin with with everyone getting in because there's so many people there but I feel like they did a really good job. They brought so many creators and creators into one space in the iconic Natural History Museum in London which is amazing. It was so cool to be like dancing and partying in the Natural History Museum around places which you'd normally go just to have a look and take in all the history and culture. So that was fun and our breakfast has come and it looks so nice like such a treat. Really nice for our girly sleepover and it will set us up nicely for the day. Let me show you. It looks very colourful doesn't it Liv? Primary school colours. Liv's got a full English breakfast which looks delightful. We've got some pastries, fruit, coffees of course and then I've got poached egg on avo and it just looks like such a treat. We're gonna enjoy this, debrief and catch up on last night and then get ready properly and changed for the day. Just to show you guys these really cute feathered pyjamas. They're from Nadine Murabi that does like occasion wear and if you're looking for some satin pyjamas to either wear for the evening like going out or to wear for an evening event that's like chilled maybe like sleepover at a friend's house then this is such a nice pyjama set. You've got the fluffy sleeves and I'll show you also on the legs and it's so comfortable it's like a satin silk material. They've also got these gorgeous buttons. I've actually got this set in white as well and I'm planning to wear it the night before my legal wedding and probably my wedding in Italy as well actually and because it's just such a gorgeous bridal white pyjama set super super comfy. This would be such a nice gift as well probably like a little bit of an extravagant gift because they're not the cheapest but the quality is amazing. It's more of like a treat, a nice pyjama set to have as a treat. It's got pockets in it, so comfortable and just feel super chic and elegant wearing them. This is my outfit today. I'm going to Claridges for afternoon tea with L'Oreal Paris because it's International Women's Day so happy Women's Day to any of you ladies watching. I thought I'd go with a simple and chic spring outfit so I've got blue straight leg jeans on. They're the same ones that I was wearing yesterday from Abercrombie because I was trying to pack efficiently and not pack too many things. Love the fit of these. I'll get Liv to show you them along with the full outfit and then I've got a cream blazer on. This is like a really old one but I will link and find similar ones for you. Then I've got a ribbed vest top on from And Other Stories which is a lovely thick material. Mejuri snake chain necklace. Got these heart earrings in from ASOS. They were only about £6. Such a steal and they make a lovely statement. And then shoes. I've got these gorgeous Boucle design heels on from H&M. A little bit of fluff on my heel. These would be so nice for work wear but I also think they're a great one for spring lunches or when you want to dress up a little bit and you've got a neutral colour palette. Same bag as yesterday because I didn't want to bring too many bags with me so I've got my white D'Amelio bag. This is the final look. It's giving spring. Hopefully the weather is on my side as well and it's just a really simple easy outfit to put together and throw on if you don't know what to wear you have a nice occasion and you want to Hey guys it's Sunday. I didn't show my outfit yesterday for Saturday because I ended up spending the day tidying, organising and planning. It was a bit of a busy week work-wise and going to events so I really just wanted to spend yesterday getting on top of some work admin. Today having a cosy home day and me and Ryan are going to get on top of wedding admin. He's just at the gym and as soon as he gets back we're going to start doing lots of things that we've been pushing back and get and move on with our wedding to-do lists because we are about three months out from our wedding or three and a half months because our wedding is at the end of June. This is my casual outfit of the day. I love wearing like a code set when I'm at home. If I'm spending the whole day at home, if I'm doing admin or even on the weekend just like a cosy casual set. This one is from Pretty Lavish. They do the chicest cosy loungewear sets. I'd wear this to leave the house as well like throw on a biker jacket and run errands or going over someone's house like super casual like a girl's night and they have lots of different sets like this. I just feel a little bit more put together even if I'm working from home but I'm not filming. If I'm wearing a nice code set that matches I just feel ready to work but I also feel cosy and then I've got my slippers on from Emu Australia. These are so warm and so cosy. So that's my outfit of the day. Hopefully make it to the gym so I'll show you my gym outfit as well if I make it. Hi guys. It is Monday and it's half three. I'm in the middle of filming. I've just filmed Workwear Staples for spring. Workwear is like one of my favourite things to do because for anyone that doesn't know I used to work in corporate so I used to work in banking as a management consultant in technology technology banking so I used to love like dressing up for the office. I feel like that was one of the fun things about going into the office as well as going to see my work friends is dressing up and looking the part like wearing suits, wearing tailored midi skirts and I'm wearing a workwear outfit with some new pieces. I thought may as well show you guys in case you're in the market for any new workwear and I know lots of you guys do work in an office so if I can help with any workwear inspo I'll try. The lighting is a tiny bit rubbish because it's so cloudy outside like where is spring? Where is the sunshine? Thankfully I have LED lights so that I can still film because otherwise I wouldn't be filming this week because it's raining, it's cloudy. Anyway enough of the weather, this is the outfit. So one tip I would give when it comes to workwear dressing is to buy things that are in like monochrome colours so like black and white, neutrals, a colour palette that goes together. Of course you can incorporate some colour but it's best if the foundations of your outfits and staple pieces are in some of those colours that you're going to wear again and again so like your cream, your black, neutral colours, beige, all colours that work together well cohesively. This way you can mix and match the pieces and you don't have to think too much about getting ready in the morning because especially when you're heading out the door, going to the office, you don't want to be stressing about what to wear. On that topic I'd always recommend laying out an outfit the night before or just loosely thinking what am I going to wear the night before. That helped me stress so much less by just being a little bit more organised and having my outfit prepped the night before. This is the outfit I wanted to show you guys because I thought it's a cute spring smart chic outfit and you could definitely like dress this down a tiny bit as well if you didn't want to go for such a formal look. This black cardigan is new in from H&M. I'm loving these smart cardigans. I think it looks like it's a jacket and it's giving the tweed jacket kind of vibe but in a cardigan form so it's super comfortable and cosy but at the same time it looks formal and definitely workwear appropriate. And then this skirt is an older one from Urban Revivo. I'll try to find a similar alternative. Midi skirts and maxi skirts were huge last year and they're not going away this year. It's all about like tailoring and structured pieces for workwear. I think that they just make you look more elegant, chic and put together. And then I've got a black turtleneck vest on. This is from Karen Millen. It's so important to have basics like this in your wardrobe to pair with different pairs of trousers, different skirts, like a suit combination. They're just a great layering piece and I feel like the slightly high neck, not super roll neck but just like a little bit of a high neck makes it look more sophisticated and elegant. And I've gone for some slingback heels. One thing that I always used to do is I'd travel and commute in trainers and then I'd have some slingback heels like these in my bag or in my locker and then when I'm actually in the office I change into the slingback heels because let's face it, who wants to be wearing slingback heels or heels of any kind on public transport? And you might think ooh that's a bit extra to carry heels in your bag but it makes a world of difference. Like this outfit looks so much better with slingback heels as opposed to say trainers. With trousers I'd maybe say wear trainers but this one particularly it wouldn't look good with trainers. Maybe with ballet flats but for me I think having a slingback like kitten heel just elevates and pulls the outfit together. Now I've got a black Celine belt on but any any black belt with gold hardware would work well with this outfit. And then a big bag which would fit my laptop and all my essentials for the workday. And this is a workwear outfit that I wanted to show you guys because I was filming it and I thought this is a nice outfit to share. Hey guys it's Tuesday and I've got a meeting in London this afternoon, just been doing some admin and editing this morning. It's a little bit nippy today so I thought I'd wear my merino knit turtleneck and then I've got a tweed jacket on from Marseille London. This is a really nice and thick jacket but at the same time it's very much spring appropriate because of the colours and I just think a tweed cream jacket for spring is so gorgeous. And then I've got wide leg black trousers on and I've gone for these white cream, they're like an off-white colour loafers from Mango. They are just super comfy. I want to look quite smart today because I do have a meeting to go to but at the same time I wanted to be comfortable because I'll be walking from the Tube to the cafe place where we're meeting so it was appropriate to wear flats today. And then I've got a few things in my bag so decided to bring this black workwear style black. It just fits everything inside and I really do look like I'm going to the office today and technically sort of like the office, I'm going for a meeting. And this is the outfit of the day. This is also a really simple workwear style outfit that you could copy with pieces in your wardrobe. If you've got a tweed jacket or a cropped jacket of any kind you could then pair it with a thin turtleneck on the days when it's colder or you could wear a bodysuit or a t-shirt if it's warmer or perhaps like a slightly high-neck knit but with no sleeves. And then smart tailored trousers and a pair of loafers or if you're more of a casual vibe in your workplace you could wear this with trainers as well and then you've got the high-low dressing so you've got the high elevated pieces and the low dressing which would be the casual trainers. Or you could wear slingbacks if you wanted to wear a little bit of a heel. So this is a go-to outfit formula that you could change with pieces that you've got in your wardrobe. Anyway I better dash otherwise I am going to miss my train. I feel like it's literally the story of my life that I'm constantly running for the train. I thought I'd get better at it living further out in London. I'm just not used to, although I should be because I've been living out of London for a year now, I should be used to not just rocking up at the station and expecting a train or tube to come in two minutes which is what I was used to before. So my time management needs to get a little bit better. I don't miss the train, I always feel like I'm in a rush for the train. Hey guys it is Wednesday. Happy hump day. I mean I'm not sure what day is when you'll be watching this but hope you're having a good day. This is casual outfit of the day. I'm heading out to do some errands. I need to go to the post office, I need to go to Tesco and do a food shop. So I've just chucked this outfit on and this is like a go-to spring casual look for me. So I've got jeans on. These are such a fab fit. These are the Abercrombie jeans which I think I showed you on Friday when I was going to the afternoon tea with L'Oreal. I really love the fit of these jeans. They're great if you're petite as well because you can get the short length. You can also get the tall length so great if you're tall or even if you're regular height you can sort of tailor it depending on your height. And then I've got striped t-shirt on. It's actually a long sleeve and this is from H&M. Like super comfortable casual vibes. And then I've got my trench coat on from & Other Stories. I love the cuff detail here with the buckle. I think it just makes it look a little bit more elevated and chic. Then I've gone for my white Adidas Sambas which go quite nicely with striped top. And then I've just got a bag that I can fit lots in. I already had my purse and lip gloss in this bag so I thought I'll just bring this. It goes with the outfit anyway because the tee is black and white. Same with the trainers. So it just works but it's an easy throw-together look. Look put together but just so effortless to put on and casual for running errands. Hey guys it is Friday and I've just wrapped up work for the day. I've been filming a Get Ready With Me reel with Carrot London. They do such gorgeous jewellery. So sparkly and pretty. I have to show you these earrings. I have honestly never seen earrings like this before. They're so pretty. They have this sort of cuff at the back and then a stud at the front. They're just so dainty and beautiful. Anyway I filmed a date night style outfit so I thought I may as well share with you guys. Me and Ryan are not going on a date night this weekend. I'm got lots of things to film but this is definitely something I would love to wear for a date night in spring. I've got this waistcoat on from Kukai. It's an Australian brand and I love that it's a halter neck fit and then it's also backless and it has a bow detail which I think makes it really pretty and also perfect for spring summer. It's just such a nice piece to have in your wardrobe for jeans and a nice top attire or date night or even if you were going to head into the city for meetings you could pair it with a blazer and jeans or trousers and I think that would look super chic. Then I've got white jeans on. These are the Cosbarrow ones. I only bought them a few days ago and I cannot stop wearing them. And then I've got my Gucci slingback shoes. I really love these shoes. I feel like I forget that I have them because I don't wear them that much but I guess it means it keeps them really nice because they are a really nice pair of shoe and it's such a classic style. I just love the colours and the tones, all the neutrals, lots of the colourways that I often wear. And then I've got my trusty oversized blazer on from Rihanna. This is in like a light beige colour. It's sort of like caramel, it's not quite beige but it works quite nicely with the Gucci heels. I love an oversized fit and this blazer is structured but at the same time has that oversized look. For my bag I've got this gorgeous clutch bag from D'Amelia London. It has this beautiful gold chain strap but you can just tuck the strap away into the bag if the gold is a little bit too much for you. So here it is without the strap and then you can just hold it sort of like that. If you're going out on a date night, going for dinner, then this is no problem to hold the bag like this. I think I might actually wear this bag for my legal wedding next week because I don't really have another white bag and I think this shape is quite nice. I'm not gonna wear it with the gold though because I've actually got silver jewellery to wear and silver on my shoes so I think just like this without the gold strap will look really nice. And this is the spring date night look. All the neutral colours. If you want to make some of your outfits now while we're transitioning more spring-like then just opt for lighter colours so like white, beige, a light grey, maybe light blue and automatically your wardrobe will feel more spring-like and less wintry. I am still going to wear like black, darker grey, brown, don't get me wrong, but more and more I'm incorporating the lighter colours because they're far more suited to spring fashion and the spring season. It is Saturday. I've been filming Reels this morning because I have a few deadlines and next week is mine and Ryan's legal wedding so it's quite a lot going on next week so I needed to make sure that I'm on top of work this weekend. I've wrapped up for the day and we're going to go for some afternoon lunch. The weather's looking quite nice so I thought I'd wear my white COS jeans again. I really love this barrel shape. I think they're super flattering, they do give quite a casual vibe but I can imagine I can style it up with a blazer and maybe like a corset style top or a bodysuit to give an evening look. I've got my Kiwi Kiwi & Co jacket on. Love this for spring, it's like a really buttery leather. I've had this for years and they still have it online. I love when brands keep items online for a long time because you also know that those pieces are classics that you can keep in your wardrobe for a long time, they're not going to go out of style, they're not like trend pieces. Black t-shirt on from Stories, super good quality black tee. Got my Celine black belt on with the gold and then I've got two-tone, the beige and the black sort of slingbacks on from Rhyland. I love this, they sort of give Chanel but without the huge price tag. Maybe one day I'll buy the Chanel's because I wear these all the time but we will see. Bag, I'm just going to wear my Anthropologie weave bag, looks very much like Bottega but without the hefty price tag. So I've gone for a monochrome look, spring colours with these jeans. Jewellery, I've got these chunky gold earrings in from By Anissa. My Monica vinegar bangle, got my Apple watch on because I'm counting those steps, trying to get 10,000 steps in every day and we might go for a walk afterwards. So in case it gets a little bit nippy while we're walking around I've brought my Arquette stripe jumper, had this for about two years. I love wearing stripes and like nautical design in summer and spring because it's a great way to jazz up your outfits, especially if you're like me and you don't wear much colour, then a stripe is a way to make your outfits a little bit more interesting than just colour blocking which is what I tend to do often. And this is the final look, heading out for lunch and maybe for a stroll afterwards. I mean we're not going for a long walk because I've got these little slingbacks on but we might just go for a wander around town.
