AG: Controversial ‘party line’ on ballot unconstitutional

New Jersey Attorney General Matt Platkin shook the state's political world on Sunday when he told a federal judge he believed the state's unique and controversial “party line” on ballots is "unconstitutional." The party line, which local parties use to emphasize their picks on the ballots in 19 of New Jersey's 21 counties, is being challenged in a lawsuit filed by Rep. Andy Kim (D-3rd).
