We were young and we were free and running, never bothered about what could be coming.
Every day we danced and life was smiling, we were young and drunk in love.
A few years later I started thinking, if it's just love in every glass I'm drinking.
We're like one and without you I'm sinking, I'm always shining next to you.
Oh, I got you, there's no reason to, chasing pavement on my own.
Cause you're here to stay every night and day, I'm delighted cause I got you.
I have always been afraid of changes, but you've shown me life is full of faces.
Sometimes clouds got in our favorite places, but we were young and unaware.
Oh, I got you, there's no reason to, chasing pavement on my own.
Cause you're here to stay every night and day, I'm delighted cause I got you.
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la.
I'm just fine cause I got you.
Rain got in my way before, pouring like a waterfall.
I'll yell in tears and more, to find out where I belong.
So here we find ourselves in Ballar Lake, obviously a very picturesque spot, part of
the Snowdonia National Park, great place to get an ice cream as well, on a sunny day,
very picturesque and often full of bikes.
To get here of course we came from the Llangollen Pavilion, where Llanbikefest will be taking
place, up to the Ponderosa Cafe via the Horseshoe Pass.
Beyond that we explored deeper as we went up to Ruthin via the Nantygarth Pass and from
Ruthin to Kerrig with my favourite road, the B5105, sexy name, doesn't have a sweet
little Welsh moniker.
We'll give it one, we'll just call it the Llan Aitken Pass.
Then of course from Ballar, nip off the A5 down the B4501, turn left when you get to
Frongor, head down the A4212, another sexy name for you, before you get here, Ballar
Lake.
So there we go, not a bad introduction to the roads surrounding Llangollen.
Obviously the route I've just taken you on is one of many possibilities, you don't even
need to be strict and regimented with it.
I would say if a road looks interesting, have a little look, it may well be.
For you, you're heading back to Llangollen, that way, and me, I'm going to go home this
way.
I'll see you later, going to go skim some stones before I go.
Would be rude not to, wouldn't it really?
And if you notice, the route that I've made draws out a Welsh dragon.
It doesn't.
I don't even know, it's an amorphous blob.
That was funnier in my head when I said it at home.
There we go, an argument, if ever there was an argument needed for the fact that taking
the most direct route isn't always the most fun.
If you find a road that you like the look of more than the one you're currently on,
go and explore.
In a modern day and age where you have sat-nav and maps, you won't get lost, but you may
well discover a new location or a new favourite road.
My sat-nav's currently behind the camera.
See look, see this, that's my sat-nav right there.
You might well be late to the meeting, but you'll have fun on the way.
I could do that with, what, just a picture?
Ah, pictures are useless.
Yeah with the glasses down, yeah.
I think old man glasses.
Depends what you want to come off us.
