She didn’t want to have anything to do with people. She ducked away under my armpit and was frozen in fear when the lady put her in my arms.’’
I Was exactly at that moment that she melted my heart and I fell in love with her.
Please listen this true story from Animals My Love.

I was living in an apartment when I went to the animal shelter to get my first cat. There were about 40 adult cats looking for new homes and out of all those cats only 3 were deemed suitable to becoming indoor / apartment cats. Two of these cats were very sweet, charming and interactive.

The last cat was attempting to be invisible, hiding behind her litter box with only the top of her ears visible. She was about 2 years old and recently brought in after being found on the streets. She was malnourished, had ear mites, a large wound on her shoulder and was just neutered the day before. She was a little pile of misery.

When the lady at the shelter tried to take her out of the cage she clung to the bars , desperate to not be taken out of her cage.
She didn’t want to have anything to do with people. She ducked away under my armpit and was frozen in fear when the lady put her in my arms.
I immediately knew that she would be the one for me. I felt myself melt away. I always have a soft spot for “hopeless” cases.
The shelter woman said that she was probably tossed out of someone’s house or accidentally got lost because she clearly did not know how to survive outside on her own.
She just wanted safety, peace and quietness. And she really didn’t know how to sell herself to a new owner. I still remember the surprise and relief on the face of the shelter lady when I decided to choose this one.
