Which Characters Are Missing In Deadpool 3? ScreenRant Investigates!

Deadpool is about to make his big MCU debut and he's leaving a few people behind. Join Screen Rant as we look at who isn't returning for Deadpool and Wolverine. The Merc with a Mouth is finally being folded into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and of course this will come with a few changes. One of the biggest previous characters that will be absent is TJ Miller's Weasel. Weasel is the bar owner slash mercenary dispatcher who has been a close friend of Deadpool for the last two films. Weasel not joining the MCU has less to do with his character and more to do with his actor. One actor everyone still loves is Josh Brolin. Brolin joined the X-Men universe in the Last Deadpool film as time traveling resistance fighter Cable. A big focus of the last film, Cable traveled back in time to avenge and prevent the death of his family. Well, it looks like Cable will be staying in that alternate future. This is mostly because Brolin is already in the MCU as the giant purple despot Thanos. Another more notable absence is Domino. This unnaturally lucky mutant joined the cast in the second movie and quickly became a fan favorite. Domino has a long history with Deadpool in the comic and her introduction in Deadpool 2 was a natural inclusion. Unfortunately she will not reappear in the MCU set film, possibly because the franchise is slow rolling out other X-Men. Finally the last person who is being left in the now defunct X-Men universe is the troubled young mutant Firefist. This kid was at the center of the last film, which saw the young mutant struggling to avoid a dark path as a devastating supervillain. It looks like that arc will remain complete, as Firefist will be avoiding a career as either a hero or a villain. Thanks for watching Screen Rant and stay tuned for all your future Deadpool news.
