The Ethnographic Museum documents past and present cultures. Take a peek into a lovingly recreated bedroom or kitchen and imagine the life of a Polish peasant in the past. Observe the tools used by the village carpenters and browse the extensive collection of religious and folk art. The Ethnographic Museum is located not far south of the old town of Kazimierz. It can be reached by bus or tram. Closed every Monday. There is a small admission fee, but the permanent exhibition is open every Sunday for free. There is another smaller museum on the corner. Short-term special exhibitions held in Krakowska require a separate ticket to enter.
