Hello everyone welcome to this episode of Wanbiao ICU Today we are going to
take apart another Seiko Grand Seiko Unlike the
previous Grand Seiko this one is different
This watch uses the 4S77 movement
while this one uses the 8L75 movement
because a watch enthusiast from Shanghai sent it over for maintenance
This watch was a limited edition released by Guo Duo in 2004 as part of the Pacific
series Only 300 pieces were made worldwide
Although its movement is relatively basic
But I personally think it's still worth sharing with everyone
The establishment of Guidou was actually to separate an independent high-end sub-brand from Seiko
Early on it was mainly gold and platinum models
Its market was also mainly focused on Japan
Unlike GS it was not as international
This brand had a high starting point
But in the past it did indeed have a period
Fallen to producing cheap watches
So now we see some cheap second-hand Guo Duo quartz watches in the market
There's nothing surprising about it
because it does have a certain history
After 2000 after the introduction of the SpringDrive and 9S movements Grand Seiko
finally found its identity again
The highest standard of Seiko's basic movement is the 9S series introduced in 1998
The current Seiko high-end watch series and GS models all use the 9S series movement
This Bio movement is actually the high-end version of the 9S Although there
are slight differences in the base plating and finishing of the movement
But the structures of the two movements are
exactly the same We can take a look at them in a moment
