Pan, Yu-Chiao, notable Luantan Opera artist, being honored as Luan Tan Jiao (亂彈嬌), exclusively known for her young male lead roles (xiao sheng小生). Pan was designated a “Living Human Treasure” and preserver of national Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) by the Taiwan Ministry of Culture in 2015 with her significant achievements and influences in Luantan Opera (Xiqu戲曲) preservations, performances and education since the mid-twentieth century.
