hey guys in this video I'm gonna show
you how to draw a hamster
I usually wanted to draw something very
simple but this guy just looks too funny
and cute for me to not to draw it I'm
gonna be using black pencil and two
shades of brown and a little bit of kind
of reddish orange color if I want to
shade this joint
it's the pretty simple joint Dajjal but
the technique requires I'm used to if
you have never used it if you have never
done something like this before so I'm
going to use the black pencil to
carefully mark some of the key points
such as the nose the mouth
and the ice because this joins relative
with the shape of the creature it's very
that this hamster is very simple
that's why I do not do a and now lying
right now because I feel like I can just
eyeball it
the important part is how you end up
feel the partying because it's almost
it's gonna be done purely from straight
lines all right I know that sounds like
what do you mean but you see in a second
I don't want just the color this I in or
should I say fill this I in first and
the outline around here
I think this guy you know you can
probably already tell that he's kind of
fun you know kind of cute and funky
looking
maybe I don't I don't even need the
other color I can probably stick with
this one pencil and I think this is dark
brown with this yeah I think I think
stick with one color maybe a little bit
of pink
that's all useful for like the nose
where the blood vessel comes out it gets
a little completely nuts a little bit
too complicated about generally why do
people like why do animals and that
children adults even where to why do the
cheeks tend to be pretty red right pink
because we blush that's where most of
the tiny little blood vessels are the
dilate and blood rushes thing and makes
it more red a scheme there is you know
thinner then of areas see not see notice
I'm just drawing straight lines I'm
using lines to control the outline shape
of the of this little guy
which can be quite a challenge I'm gonna
try my best we'll see how it goes
[Music]
this is one of the years I believe
[Music]
your nose now I'm using a little bit
more force and the other years roughly
here
okay and
the middle part of the nose which is
gonna be a little bit of white as it
goes up so I'm not gonna use too much
lines or shade there generally helps to
go from the root of the hair you might
move the hair the reel to a tip of the
hair just go like that sometimes I don't
follow that practice but that's
generally a good rule to follow if you
can't
so lately I've been doing a few a bunch
a bunch of joints like this where I'm
not focusing on just lying and then
Sharpie with a very you know dark
sharpie line I'm kind of sketching Andy
it out and creating effects with pencils
[Music]
hopefully some of you can benefit from
this from just watching this die of joy
[Music]
look at this chappy little guy a second
I know you website this guy needs to
exercise somebody forgot his hamster
wheel yeah so there's just a lot of
shame with lions as you see this line
which is another way of putting tones
down
well now it was angry because the lines
here I use a little bit too much force
with it looks like eyebrows pointing in
an angry way now it's suddenly not as
bad
funny how little things like that can
just change your perception of a drawing
you know crazy way of drawing but I like
it just like the effect like Norma not
another any outline at all except just
the straight lines
still looks like he's a little bit angry
let's see if I can fix that
or maybe not
cuz this it looks just as funny this way
anyway so think about how I can improve
this Josh or I should I said add you
know more dimension to this join um
probably have to do a little bit of
shading like I didn't think I will need
to but I think I should you know it
would really help okay so certain parts
now I'm gonna start to put a little bit
of dark phones down
on the year like that and look at her
read her on the nose and maybe come down
now say he's wearing like lipsticks
maybe not as much then again I can refer
this is this is a really weird looking
little hemisphere this hamster looks
kind of crazy not a lie
okay and here let me switch back to the
black pencil and darken this part here a
little bit
starting this part here is over again
but this time use brown pencil quite a
little bit more definition dark tone
and
yeah nothing was the right call to like
just to add a little bit more getting to
it
maybe even darker smize just a little
bit
little bit more shade in the corner of
the mouth while this guy looks angry the
cynic angry or just me angry hamster
and maybe I'll add a little bit of
little feet probably should use
something a little bit more more pinkish
but this will do for now
and funny this is a funny book enjoy
but feel free to give it a try as you
can see you can you can't really screw
this up cuz it's just that cuz look how
crazy my own drawing is and use your
razor to reshape the head slightly you
press down with time if you want to you
can put in some more shading here and
there let me just add one last ring
which is uh the whiskers hold the pencil
very lightly and kind of keep your wrist
very loose and just just kind of go with
one straight motion just one kind of
pointing downward I don't know if I want
this whisker to go that downward but
it's not a big deal
sometimes whiskers kind of Bend alright
that is one funny looking angry hamster
and I hope you guys enjoyed this
tutorial with this unconventional way of
just drawing and constructing the
creature without using much of any other
lines and just shade the bottom body and
we'll call it finished and I hope you
guys enjoyed this tutorial if you do
