hey guys in this video I'm going to show
you how to draw another cat or caddy in
a different way and I'm gonna be using a
sharpie I'll just use the a brown
sharpie this time cause something
different and I might colored in a
little bit at the end so we're gonna
start with the head and nothing
particularly special about the way this
drawing is constructed kind of just a
round shaped head I'm not drawing a full
circle because you know I won't leave a
gap there for the body sometimes it's
not necessary to always make sure
everything is like a full circle or
connected because not every joint is
necessarily designed for coloring you
know or it's not in the traditional like
way you think about coloring liking
those coloring books I will apply some
sketchy you know kind of tone join color
a little bit so that's one of the years
and here is the other one make sure
they're roughly the same size
[Music]
and it's gel to ice with an one eye a
roughly around here size of the eye is
not a huge deal as long as reasonable
considering we're doing as always mostly
a car car home version however once you
you know establish the size of one eye
the other one should more or less match
it not or it is not too far from it you
know here's a reflection circle and
fashion circle and I might do something
a little bit different with the eyes
maybe I'll add a little bit of extra
gradient here and there
you see what I mean a little mouse here
and maybe some whiskers okay let's just
draw the eyes first
that always makes the drawing alive and
send out
as you can see I'm leaving a little bit
of a white space for me to use a little
bit different coloring I so it's not
quite as one-dimensional so I might
switch to or you know maybe a you know a
bit orange or a little bit of yellow and
I might just apply some of that color
[Music]
you have see me donuts before when with
colors like blue or green electable or
yellow like ice is one of those since
it's very because it's very reflective
you can play around with the way it's
shaped as well as is tone you can add
reflection circles in kind of random
places as long as there are kind there
are consistent across both eyes that's
what I meant and let's finish rest of
the body and I'm gonna step down
straddle I'm just gonna do a little
school squiggly line like this so and
sometimes he has the feel fur
only the leg still want to keep the join
pretty simple the other leg
and
one of the hind legs comes up
body curves roughly around there and the
tail I guess we can just have the tail
maybe her upward that's how you donate
happier when there you can tell they're
happier when the tails that point up
well sometimes I make that a little bit
fluffy but I'm gonna color eating a
little bit alright so now we have the
body established and he looks as the
line drawing it you can already tell as
a cat cat um you can already tell the
CAD yeah that's good but let's do a go
for step further
um this is a brown kind of waxy pencil
that I found I prefer to be what else we
say I'm your regular pencil like a
pastel pencil but because I can blend
those but the waxy ones works too so
this will be will be like if you were
you free if you were to use like a
regular typical colouring pencil you
can't really smudge it as much you know
and I want to add a little bit of pot
into this cat so I don't want it to be
purely just like white I think just
adding a little bit of color can't
really add a lot to the joint
and you don't have to be too precise
about everything because you've got the
cat you know the colors on the furs the
patterns is kind of random it's kind of
a little bit Brown here some random
patches over there like so you can
actually be just be a bit loose about
this and just have fun with it but put
kind of put like patterns and squiggle
lines and patches of color kind of
wherever you want
am i used even another color to
complement the brown this part here is
kind of optional because if you want to
learn just to draw a cat-like line
drawing the outlines and everything
that's you know completed within the
first five minutes this is for if you
want to something a little extra
I see what else we can add to this maybe
I'll use a little bit of orange and we
can put a little nose there all right
you know just a little dot suddenly you
feel like there's a nose there and I'll
switch to yellow and I can add some
complimentary well some extra color
there technique that all really
complimentary colors but just to make
the cat look a little bit more
interesting and light beer and the key
is not to be worried about anything look
how fast I'm doing this that is kind of
producing ramps now not totally random
but I'm not too concerned about getting
everything extremely polished and that
in turn actually creates more organic
and more realistic feel because like I
said real cats they tend to have the
colors on them you know kind of random
sometimes chaotic way not sure if I you
need to do any more but yeah but no
that's not necessary I think I say at
this point it's pretty good
maybe y'all get under the shadow here
and go step further let's say we can use
green right we can say the cat is
standing on a field of grass or
something
and I'm just flipping a green maybe I'll
do some lines like that just straight
line goes up you can create a little
idea of plantation and grass I'm ooh
good job little bugs fly over here if
you wanted to but I've done that before
and if you want to you can do that and
so yeah so this is a very simple way to
draw a very cute looking cat and you can
see didn't take too long and the
coloring part as always you know if you
don't if you're not familiar with you
may look complicated to a beginner but
if you're familiar with the process you
realize this actually just that it's not
really that bad just it's kind of go
with your feelings and as long as you
don't make anything too extreme right
and it's it's most likely couldn't look
okay and thank you guys for watching I
