Ronaldo stars as United beat 10-man Liverpool | Manchester United 3-0 Liverpool (2008) | Classics

Oh, Rooney is in here! Wait, Rooney, what a chance! Rooney, Reina saves. I say, somebody could have given a penalty there very easily, the referee. I think if Rooney had gone down it would have been a penalty. All right, Scoles, oh, it's fouled there by Masturano. He's only got a bit for the platitude. Scoles to Rooney. No scorers, he hasn't scored for three years! And now he's struck against Liverpool, unbelievable! Masturano's having another go at the referee, you're gonna be in trouble if you look on. Masturano sent off, two yellows. Oh, it's falling apart for Liverpool, Masturano has self-destructed in spectacular fashion, Liverpool down to ten. I told you, he's gonna get sent off if he doesn't start. He's gonna put himself in worse trouble. He's having to be restrained by the Liverpool coaching staff. This is embarrassing, this is absolutely embarrassing. It's a miss, Ronaldo is onside! Oh, my word, it stayed out! Can you believe it? The flag stayed down, and United have missed another chance. You've got to go and count it in the goalkeeper for this. You really start to feel it, here's the corner, he's missed it, oh, it's two! It is Ronaldo, and Liverpool are extinguished. United are gonna do the double over Liverpool. Ronaldo has struck again at long, long last. The second goal has come, 2-0. We thought it was never coming. You know how good in the area he is, Cristiano Ronaldo. Scores against Liverpool for the first time, here's Rooney, playing Nani. He does, here's Nani, can he wrap it up? Oh, picked that out! What a strike! What a goal from Nani. And Liverpool now are getting a hammering at Old Trafford. We expected it to be close, it's not. 3-0. Well, it's amazing, just before Nani got the ball I said I think United could score again here. I'm so not too sure the scoring's over, but he's done well, Nani. That puts a true reflection on the game, actually, this goal. That's it, United do the double over Liverpool again. It's finished, United 3-0 Liverpool.
