In delivering the commencement speech at Dillard University, Academy Award-winning actor Denzel Washington gave the graduates some motivational and inspirational advice. The first advice was to put God first in everything they do, and that what he has accomplished today is all a blessing from God. Secondly, Denzel said that we should dream big, but he also made it clear that we need to set goals to achieve our dreams, otherwise dreams are just dreams. Don't be afraid of failure, just do what you are passionate about. Thirdly, he advised students to learn to share and help others. The joy of helping others is much greater than the joy of buying a house or a car. Denzel prayed that all say thank you in advance for what’s already yours, anything good is God’s proof to you sent beforehand to indicate that it’s yours.
