The Montclair Brewery is breaking barriers as one of the country’s few Black-owned breweries. Owned and operated by husband and wife Denise Ford-Sawadogo and Leo Sawadogo, the microbrewery and tasting room opened its doors in 2018. Raven Santana visited the brewery to learn more about how the couple turned a passion project into a thriving business and their mission to build community through craft beer.
