But that's the end of the game, folks.
Declan Rice comes back to haunt his old team.
You know, he got a couple of assists and also scored.
Let me try and see from memory if I can remember the scoring.
Saka got two, Gabriel got one, Saliba got one, Trossart got one.
Wait, did I say Trossart?
Trossart, Gabriel, Saliba, Saka got two, Declan Rice.
Yeah?
This is the worst.
When I'm trying to do reviews of the game and trying to remember all of this, it's crazy.
Cedric's a GOAT, man. Cedric's a GOAT.
Arsenal have won 6-0.
We turned our form around.
We're doing what we need to do.
I don't look at the league table, but we got 52 points.
That's crazy.
Game in hand on City, but same goal difference.
Doing all right if you're next to them, but yeah.
Clean sheet, six goals, keeps the good form going.
12 points from the last available 12.
What can you say?
An emphatic performance away from home as well.
Again, first half, because it's easy to get lost in the noise now, man,
because we won 6-0.
I'd say first half or the beginning of the game,
I think there was a period where West Ham,
it looked like it would be a bit of an even match,
but I think all in all, we controlled possession.
We controlled proceedings.
We moved the ball.
We looked very confident.
Benjamin White was very good in his inverted role.
Kyrie had an encouraging performance.
I think Rice kept things ticking over.
I think Martin Odegaard was brilliant.
Yes, Trossart has scored,
but I'd implore you all to watch that game again.
Trossart was bloody brilliant in that false nine role.
Absolutely amazing.
When everybody individually holds themselves accountable,
the collective takes care of itself.
It's lovely to see that there's certain ugly elements to the game.
For an Arsenal fan, I don't think it's ugly
because we work on set pieces.
We scored the most and dead balls.
We scored the most in the league,
so it's a bit of a reward when they're doing the training and stuff
and they're seeing it.
It's nice to see we can do that ugly stuff in the game.
I think Saliba's goal was a turning point
because I would say we did deserve our goal.
We were the better team,
but it feels like West Ham lost this game in what followed.
It feels like the last 15 minutes,
plus the seven minutes of added on time,
they were just silly in it.
There was a quick flurry of goals.
We've gone into halftime at, what, 4-0?
We probably should have scored 90 seconds.
Big up the kids getting the shirts.
Probably should have scored 90 seconds into the second half,
but after that it was very ruthless really and truly.
Yeah, man, can't complain.
We got three points.
We obviously saw what Liverpool and City have done this week as well.
I don't believe Arsenal are winning the league,
but for those of you who do, we have to keep up the pace.
Now the work goes to, you know,
big up Ethan for getting appearances as well.
Now the work starts tomorrow for Burnley.
Couldn't get the seventh, but we got the clean sheet as well,
which obviously when you've scored seven goals,
six goals, sorry, and all the other talking points,
some of the goals were really good.
Big up Ty.
He's on Sky.
Big up Ty.
When you've done that,
I think nobody's really going to care about a clean sheet and stuff like that,
but these kind of things are equally as good, man.
We bossed it.
We absolutely bossed it.
We was very ruthless and that's the main thing as well.
We were ruthless.
We smoked blood.
We kept going.
In previous years or previous games,
we would go 1-0 up, 2-0 up, kind of switch off.
So it was lovely to see we didn't do that on the eve of halftime.
It's lovely to see second half we came out.
Naturally, as we get tired, a bit complacent,
West Ham, they're kind of accepting of their defeat.
Naturally, there's going to be elements of complacency, but yeah.
Best Eddie can do is win a foul.
It's disturbing watching him throw DG down.
Usually, former players score against us like Raz did versus West Ham.
Weird thing being on this side.
Big up Barnaby Johnson.
Beat them like them daddy old people.
Big up Bob Adas, man.
We're lit, man.
We're lit.
We're ******* lit.
So who are we saying man of the match then, folks?
Boys and girls.
It's a bit.
Don't forget, we're watching AFCON later as well.
But man of the match?
Truss Hutt.
But then Sack of Bag too.
I think Truss Hutt for me.
I'm going Truss Hutt or Odegaard.
Truss Hutt or Odegaard for me.
I'm going to go with Truss Hutt, man.
I'm really going to go with Truss Hutt.
I'm a Saints fan just letting you know we own 9-0.
You're a funny guy, man.
Big up you, man.
And big up West Ham as well, man.
It is what it is.
Ethan's a talented player.
We just need to be patient, slow cooking, relax a bit with him.
And hopefully things fall into place.
Could have done Kyrie O'Day.
He's done that twice in the game.
Eddie's knocked Prem levels.
Harsh, man.
Bet Phillips still makes the England squad out.
Southgate's calling him up, man.
Obviously Henderson's come out of Saudi Arabia and gone Ajax.
But you know Henderson and Calvin Phillips.
If they're somewhat fit, they're going to do a thing.
I mean, Ethan's what you want to see, isn't he?
He's got a swagger.
He can play football.
He's got a good technical level.
Footballing IQ is there.
Obviously, the only thing is, if anything, he's there technically.
But in the Prem, everything's happening quickly.
Like, speed of thought.
You don't bring hammers to a gunfight.
6-0.
We're way down on the depth chart in terms of subs.
Missing part.
A Smith for over a year.
And Timber makes a huge dent.
Would be the same with any top club.
And again, that's where I'm a bit frustrated.
Because for me, it feels, I'm not saying it's self-inflicted.
But we've seen this story before.
I feel it's too, if there's one criticism of Mikel Ortega
and what we're doing, for as much as I rate it,
I think we're too far along the line in this project
to still be talking about we've got the finished squad
when this guy comes back and that guy.
You are bang on the money, though.
But I just feel we sometimes bring things on ourselves, man.
Eddie and Nelson look tired, headless chickens.
Horrible cameo.
Appreciate that.
Shout-out to your pal for every goal.
Superchat, well done.
Your support is appreciated.
Big up you lot with your superchats and your support
in just general as well.
Because it's lovely to have this community.
Half of you are always here and part of the furniture.
Rice is probably going to get Man of the Match.
But I think Odegaard was 10 out of 10.
Orchestrated the match from minute one to nine.
You know what?
Rice has a claim.
But appreciate that, Desmond, on the praise of the hard work.
He's got a claim.
But I don't think it's a Rice Man of the Match thing.
To make West Ham fans cry, I'm all on that.
I'm all for it.
But yeah, man, I don't think so.
I wouldn't give it Rice, even though he's brilliant.
And you know what?
He has a claim.
He scored a goal.
An absolute bumping finish.
Two dead ball scenarios.
He's put the ball in the back of the net as well.
He's did everything that you want to see, essentially, man.
And it's been a great afternoon for us, really and truly.
In terms of player ratings, now that the game's done.
I know we did it at halftime.
But with the game done, shout-out to Mikel Lauteto.
Mikel Lauteto, 20 out of 20.
10 out of 10.
Couldn't ask the gaffer to do anything.
The subs, well, if anything, it would have been nice
to see Waters get a debut.
If he's not going to get it now, or against PSV in the Champs,
then I don't know.
And Cedric's been preferred in both of them.
And with his contract running down,
I'm not criticising Lauteto for it.
He's going for experience.
But if I was Waters, and you can see the players ahead of you
anyways, even though one's not going to be at the club,
I might be angling for a move, if I'm honest, in the summer.
Because I think this is somewhat of a year wasted for Waters.
Because he should be playing grown man football.
But yeah, we're digressing.
I couldn't ask Mikel Lauteto to do anything different today.
10 out of 10.
I think everything worked.
David Rayo, humble six.
Distribution was good.
Good six, though.
He didn't have to do nothing today.
Obviously, the effort you saved,
the angles were against Kudus anyways.
Kyrgios, give you a seven.
Decent game from you.
Saliba and Gabriel, I think you played sevens, but you scored.
So eights.
Benjamin White, I think you get eight as well.
I think White was quality today, man.
I think everybody in the back line,
obviously, if you've kept a clean sheet,
you're doing what we're doing, great.
Kai Havertz, six.
I think I'm still praising you for the minimums.
You had a good performance, and I'm not saying anything,
but it just feels like when everybody's playing well,
I want you to kind of be at the same level as them.
I still think, for instance, like you can see,
with Declan Rice and Onagard in the graphic here,
they're levels above you from what I've seen today.
Don't get it twisted.
The team performance was amazing.
Humble six for Havertz, man.
He did the fundamentals and the basics well.
Saka got man of the match, actually.
Declan Rice, 10 out of 10.
Couldn't ask you to do anything better today.
Onagard, 10 out of 10.
Couldn't ask you to do anything better,
and it's lovely to see where Rice is concerned.
He's got a goal and a couple of assists.
Onagard was involved as well.
Martinelli, humble six today.
I think I've seen you better.
I think you defended well.
I think you did your thing, but you could do a lot better.
10 out of 10 for Trosser.
Can't ask anything more.
10 out of 10 for Bakayo Saka.
If anything, for Trosser,
I think you should have scored that left foot volley,
and you had a great effort in the first half with the volley.
Saka, if you could have had her,
you probably would have had a hat trick today.
Yeah, that's what I would say for player ratings, man.
That's what I would say for player ratings,
but I'm happy, man, with this.
Apparently West Ham have suffered their joint highest home defeat
in league history. Crazy.
Arsenal registered their joint biggest marginal victory
in a away league game,
and the first win by six such goals since December 1935.
For only the second time in the Premier League aside,
managed by David Moyes, conceded six goals in a home game.
Both incidences came in matches against Arsenal.
We also beat Everton 6-1,
obviously when Moyes was there in 09.
Fair enough, but the meaningful stats
are on the balance of things.
We deserved it, man.
We deserved it.
We deserved it in the first half.
We deserved it.
This is what I...
And again, we were ruthless.
We smelt blood.
It was like sharks in the water
or being an injured lamb or deer or whatever in the jungle
and there's lions about.
We kept going.
Should have scored more.
I'm being a bit harsh, but we should have scored more.
25 shots, 12 on target.
Six goals.
We've converted 50% of the chances on target.
Six corners as well.
We obviously scored from a couple of them.
And yeah, when we smelt that it was time to put them to bed
in the dying embers of the first half,
we did that and it was an enjoyable experience
for the fans then.
And it was obviously enjoyable being here
with you lot people again.
We've got 300-odd likes.
Appreciative of you lot.
Only scored six away goals and no world-class striker.
Arteta out.
Anyone else named Arteta in,
we need to get, you know,
be nice to get a striker though to add to this.
Dubai did us good, whatever we did.
Chris, you're right.
We were different gravy.
Saka was cooking.
Saka was moving smoky.
We have to be the best team in the world at set pieces.
We're definitely up there.
Saka should have stayed on for the hat-trick.
There'll be other opportunities.
Dzerbi didn't want Trossart.
That's brazy, bro.
It's true, but, you know, they had a bus stop.
He was keeping it moving anyways.
The manager didn't have to do what he wants.
Even saw Kai doing some step-overs
and completing forward passing.
I was shocked.
I think we was.
Kai, seven.
You know what?
Benefit of the doubt.
We ran him a seven, man.
We ran him a seven, but yeah.
It was all right.
Clean sheet.
Maguire starting.
Pray for us.
No.
You support Man United.
Come on, then, right, mate?
Trossart manned the match,
followed by Odegaard, Rice, Saka, and the rest.
Big up yourself, American guy, man.
So, yeah, it was lit from us.
All right.
Big up this super chat from Sasha.
You lot are funny, man.
Big up you, man.
Ethan with 15 out of 18 passes completed.
One chance created.
One out of two ground drills won.
One aerial.
One out of one aerial drill won.
Nice cameo.
Big him up.
And, obviously,
Odegaard ain't really giving these youngers opportunities widespread,
so you got the guy he fucks with, innit, really?
You keep doing what you're doing.
Ten out of ten performance, man.
Everything worked well today,
and it's games like this that are worth it as a manager, really.
In isolation, it obviously means something.
There's three points,
but it doesn't win or lose a league title.
Everything's gone well,
and, you know, it's lovely that we've started this January,
February period definitely better than how it ended last year.
So, yeah, man,
I think it's very unlikely about the prem of the champs,
but just keep up the pace.
Anything less than a...
Of course, I want to win the league,
even though I know things can happen, as I said,
but anything less than finishing within the top three
is unacceptable with Arsenal, at the minimum.
So, yeah, man, we just have to keep going.
I mean, Eddie and Keita and Nelson,
I think they came off the bench with a bit of complacency.
I don't think they've necessarily come off the bench trying to play poorly,
but if you're on the periphery,
you've always got to make a difference.
I think there was an air of complacency naturally within the team
because we're battering them, essentially.
I think there was an air of complacency that shouldn't have been there,
and I just think Eddie and Keita weren't really at it.
DG just can't win Trinidad and Tobago.
Listen, I wish I was in Trinidad and Tobago right now.
They're going to be living.
Arsenal has given the Premier League the real meaning.
Wanted Martin Lilly to bag today.
Also nice to see Benjamin White inverting.
Amen, man.
Benjamin White is one of our most slept-on players,
if I'm completely honest with you.
How many goals and assists does Saka have now?
I can look for you.
Right, after I see my FPL points first.
You've got 13.
Oh, vice-captain Demar, to be fair.
Captain Harlan, we'll have that.
To be fair, credit to Benjamin White and Martin Lilly in the role for Rice's goal.
I don't know what happened with Chaucer and Odegaard there,
why they both left the ball, but maybe they got a call.
In terms of statistics, let's go to stats, goals.
That can't be right.
Where's Bakayo?
Let's go to Arsenal.
It's taking me a bit of a minute.
Saka's got 10 goals for us.
Chaucer's got 6.
Martin Lilly's got 5.
Assists.
I don't even know if this is updated.
Something tells me it's not necessarily.
Saka's got 7 assists.
So 10 goals, 7 assists.
Had a hand in 17 on what we played, 20-odd games.
Ultimately, he's crucified by the high standards he sets
because everyone was saying he's falling off and all this.
Tranquillo, Tranquillo.
We just need to tackle game by game.
We do.
You lot know we've got...
We can't count our chickens before they hatch, man.
Football's a weird game.
Again, you look around before we hit December.
Some Arsenal fans were saying we only fear Real Madrid,
bullish about the Champions League, etc.
We hit December.
It was obviously negative.
Now the optimism is coming again.
But I do like the fact that we needed to put our big boy pants
on in this period, and we've been navigating it fine.
But there's a lot of football, man.
A lot of football.
We're doing what we need to do this month.
Obviously, the only disappointing thing is it kicked off
with a loss to Liverpool.
But the performance, in hindsight, was probably the step
in the right direction.
Battered Crystal Palace.
Done what we need to do against Nottingham Forest.
Showed Liverpool levels.
Destroyed West Ham today.
Now it's on to Burnley, which I want to see the same
sort of performance.
We've got Burnley, Porto, Newcastle to end this month.
So let's end this month strong, man.
Let's end this month strong.
We enjoyed today.
And I know the players and Mikel Arteta and everyone,
they'll enjoy today.
But tomorrow, we get again, man.
We get again.
We get again, man.
We just need to keep going.
King Kai causes havoc to any opponent.
Kai's calm, man.
Remember I told you 5-0 becoming a regular thing
for us lately?
Long may it continue, man.
We've got a lot of football.
And again, we can't count our chickens before they hatch.
But even in March, we're in a very difficult period
in terms of games where we need to stand up to be counted.
March, we've got Sheffield United away,
which we should be winning.
Then you've got Brentford at home.
Then you've got the second leg against Porto.
Say what you want about Chelsea and their form.
We didn't do the best of games at Stamford Bridge.
So we've got Chelsea.
The 31st of March is a trip to the Etihad.
That's the only thing that would have made beating
Liverpool and City better this season.
For me, obviously, I love the fact we did that at the Emirates.
Great memories and all that.
But if we played the way we did at the Emirates
and we did that at Anfield or we beat City in the manner
we did at the Etihad, that's lovely.
Because for us, we need to show that we can go
to Anfield, Etihad.
You say what you want about Man United.
We don't travel well there and get some half-decent
performances and results and then move into a scenario
where I'm not wowed that we beat Liverpool or City
with the greatest of respect.
It's normal.
We're not quite there yet.
Appreciate the super chat, Chris.
What do you think made us turn up today?
Six goals? I couldn't tell you.
I think West Ham played with fire and they got burnt.
I couldn't tell you.
But what I would say in general is the fact of
if we want to salvage some part of our season
and do an impossible job of beating Liverpool and City,
we need to win games.
Probably in the back of our minds, we should be using
the fact of how poor the end of last year was
and now we're starting again.
You want to keep the good form going as well, really,
which we've been doing against Liverpool.
You know, everybody wanted us to lose.
Had we have lost to West Ham today,
you know what time it is.
We saw the people around us get three points.
You know, you're hoping Villa and Man United
is probably a draw.
You saw Spurs get a last-minute winner.
So there's a bunch of reasons.
And just doing our job.
And playing West Ham has not been a nice thing for us, really.
The last time they won a game was against us.
So going into the game, I'd be wanting to move to them.
And we lost to them in the league.
We lost to them in the League Cup,
which is one of the worst performances this season
for me, along with falling away.
So I would say that to answer.
Probably a mixture of things, really, man.
Probably just a mixture of things.
Saka been named man of the match.
You can have that.
Got it back in blood.
Saliba had Bowen in his pocket today.
I would say for me, I think Bowen was the only player
from West Ham that could say,
at least I turned up today.
I think Arreola by default,
I don't think there was much you could do.
But yeah.
Lyon, happy birthday on behalf of everyone.
Burnley are getting it.
I hear that.
But football's weird, man.
This is why I'm not a fan of...
You know, when I was reading out the run,
in my head, we should be beating Luton.
We should be beating Burnley away.
And we should be dealing with Sheffield United.
But football's a crazy game.
Look at the Fulham game.
Look at, based on paper, how Chelsea and Spurs were.
More time, it's the games that we should win
are the games that we're kind of messing about.
It's the games where...
I predicted Arsenal to win today.
Not in this fashion.
But it's the games where you're a bit nervous
and you're thinking, what's going on?
That's when we show some surprises,
like today, like Liverpool, like City.
It's the other games.
And that's football.
It happens three, four times a season to everyone.
But the best teams make it happen.
And that's what we need to do.
They said Saka fell off
and he has a real chance to hit 30 goal assist
contributions in the league this season.
There's levels.
He's just dying by the high standards he's setting.
24 goals and assisting 30 appearances.
You can't talk to him.
You can't big up yourself, man.
Saliba and Gabby, best pairing in the league.
I hear that.
We took our chances and defended well.
Yeah, all the variables that we can control,
defending well, winning our individual battles,
whatever our tether is telling you
in terms of progressive play
to cope with the absence of, you know,
a Jorginho who'll come out the team part
who hasn't been there all season
or Zinchenko.
We've done all of that.
You know, put the ball in the back of the net.
Keep the ball out of yours.
We did that.
And on top of that,
West Ham didn't do whatever David Moyes
is telling them to do.
David Moyes picked the wrong tactics.
The players might not have been good enough
or we could have just been brackets above them.
Either way, all of that is irrelevant.
They lost.
And they played crap.
So you factor that in.
We've done what we needed to do, man.
We've done what we needed to do.
It's a great day.
Great evening for us Arsenal fans, man.
We can't be anything other than happy.
I can't wait to watch this game again
and get the tactical videos
and all of that jazz out for you lot, people.
It's lit.
It's absolutely lit.
It's bitters.
These are the days.
You're cooking today.
I appreciate that.
These are the days that, like,
I'm not going to go as far as to say
make you proud to be an Arsenal fan and that,
but it's lovely as a football fan
to sit here and you've dealt with it.
And on the flip side,
we've definitely been here over the years.
I don't know how West Ham feel.
We are all doing a watch long for AFCON later,
people, so make sure you're there.
It's the time right now.
It's 7.15.
Kirio to stay now.
Kirio, he's going to stay till now.
I'm not going to lie, though.
If you can find me another Timbo
or Tomiyasu kind of guy
and the club say,
you know what, to reinvest.
Kirio's OK,
but we're going to get our money back
and this club and that club is what it is.
So yeah, man.
Saliba and Gabby got this old school vibe about them.
Calm but ruthless
and they work for each other.
They complement each other so well
and that's what football should be.
I think Gabriel hides the weaknesses of Saliba.
Saliba hides the weaknesses of Gabriel.
And obviously,
they're very two different kind of centre-backs.
Gabriel, obviously,
I think Saliba can be aggressive
and I think Gabriel's got gracious elements.
But Gabriel is more,
he's more on the ugly stuff.
He's the aggressor.
He's all of that.
And then Saliba's more reading the game
and being a bit gracious with it.
Fantastic pairing.
We're very fortunate to have that.
You know, defence wins titles.
Do I think we're winning the title this season?
No, but it's a step in the right direction
if we're saying that, isn't it?
Big up Raya as well.
You can go back to my videos.
When we was losing in December,
I said if there's any positive,
I think Raya, in a nice way,
he's gone under the radar.
He's looking positive
and our back line is looking well.
You know, Kyrgios coming.
As I said in my stream on,
I think it was Friday or Saturday,
or Friday or Thursday,
if you're not going to,
like, get consistent runs
and you're not whatever,
at least play to the standard
the manager has faith to throw you in,
which evidently,
whether it's out of necessity
or he genuinely has,
he's played you today.
I do think fans are overgassing Kyrgios slightly today,
but get a good performance
and that's what you've got to do.
So it's lovely that the defenders come out well.
Kai Havertz, encouraging performance.
I think Rice and Odegaard,
naturally, they're better players than you.
They were a class above you,
but the midfield did well.
A bit of, you know,
a bit upset Martinelli couldn't score,
but the rest of the attackers were feasting.
Trostar are brilliant today as well, man.
Raya's starting to settle, man.
You know, still haven't seen that,
like, world-class save or anything,
but I don't really want to see that from Raya.
In an ideal world,
my keeper always plays like today.
I don't want to see my keeper.
I want my strikers to score.
I don't want to see the keeper.
I don't want the keeper to be under any pressure.
I'm sure every football fan would say that,
but we did what needed to be done today, man.
We did what needed to be done.
Again, people, with that being said,
I'll be back for the AFCON Watchalong at 7.50.
You lot enjoy what's left of your afternoon or whatever.
We can watch Aston Villa, Man United,
with, you know, a bit of joy.
Going to get a quick reaction vid out for you lot.
And yeah, man, you know,
Watchalongs and all of that are going to be rife.
Next week is Champions League settings.
We've got Burnley next week in the Prem as well.
Well, we're not in action in the Champions League this week,
but you get the point.
You lot's conversation, your super chats,
your engagement, your banter, hitting the like button,
doing what you're doing on Twitch.
It's always a pleasure and it's a pleasure to be here.
So yeah, with the next week coming in,
people, I hope you and your family are in good health
and, you know, it's bigger and better where you lot are concerned.
So you lot stay blessed, stay safe.
In honour of Declan Rice's strike,
from one guy to another.
He knows what he's doing.
