(Bundesliga 2023/2024): Highlights VfB Stuttgart - RB Leipzig

Angelo Stunner, the curl that went away, and a shot for handball that fully convinced the Stuttgart players, Zagadou especially, he was vocal, just to have a look at this and see what the fuss was all about. And there was the arm away from the body, Simacor, and remember booked earlier, Mohamed Simacor, but the wait goes on, and Sven Jablonski says handball penalty. They've been the better side so far, VfB Stuttgart, Enzo Milo. Tottenham playing tomorrow against Bochum, here's Undab, promising position, back it comes, oh, it's a second goal! And Dennis Undab wheels away to celebrate, muscular this from Stuttgart in the first half. And this is how it came about, with Undab trying to be the architect, got the break of it, Elmas amongst others, in reserve Jusuf Poulsen of course, Raul with the corner, and Szczesko with the header, and that's what Leipzig needed, but didn't make that jump. And Benjamin Szczesko, who can be a real force in the air when you give him space like that. Look out. To the front foot again, Leverling, Wagnerman, Undab in the centre, Wagnerman, little flick, Fürich was there, and then a rasper of a shot, my goodness. Fürich. This is how he plays his football, Fürich taking on Simakon, and there's the little flick, Leverling, to touch at home for Stuttgart. Watch Fürich here, and watch Simakon, who's on a yellow card, doesn't want to get too close to his opponent, Wagnerman, Szabier-Schlager, Speta, Baumgartner, as they look for a bit of fluency here, Leipzig, Seivalt, Openda, can't do damage from this sort of position. Rouault was backing off, and that's a glorious finish by Openda, who comes to life. Luis Openda. Defenders backing off, they played their way forward here, Baumgartner, Seivalt, excellent pass, Openda still had an awful lot to do, faced by Antony Rouault, but was able to pick the perfect spot. Openda, 13 for the season now, he deserves all the plaudits for his piece of work there. Fürich in there, it's another goal, it's undone, for Stuttgart, an explosion of goals on this Saturday afternoon here in the south-west. It's been said, that's maybe the one weakness in his game, his aerial ability. ...recently from Napoli, trying to catch Leipzig here with his free kick, and they might do so, short, Undab was there, second time of asking, and it's a three-goal contribution from Dennis Undab. But then, the second effort from Dennis Undab, and there you have it, it's not just Sergio Ghirasi who can come up with the goals for Stuttgart. What a performance by VfB Stuttgart in this game, so meaningful in terms of the Champions League chase.
