Sotheby’s Hong Kong held a media preview yesterday showcasing some of their highlights for the upcoming autumn sales. We had a precious opportunity to take a look at the leading lot of the sale, Ru Guanyao Washer of the Northern Song Dynasty. The Ru brushwasher has a luminous ‘ice crackle’ pattern on it, with its intense blue-green glaze. Nicolas Chow, Deputy Chairman, Sotheby’s Asia, gave us more details about it...
