Rep. Peter Abbarno urges hearing on initiative to prohibit personal income taxes in Washington state

House Republicans continue to fight for public hearings on certified initiatives so you can have a voice on these important issues.

Assistant Floor Leader Peter Abbarno offered a motion today calling for a public hearing on Initiative 2111, which would prohibit state and local personal income taxes. Once again, House Democrats voted to reject our motion.

Article II, Section I of the Washington State Constitution states: "...Initiative measures... shall take precedence over all other measures in the legislature except appropriation bills..."
