As the big man Ian Wright said there, people deluded I'm back again, do me a favour and
smash the like button, make the creative juices flow and make sure you leave a comment at
the end of the video. Don't forget to subscribe if you haven't. Journey to 70,000 subs is
alive and kicking. Big up you lot tuned in. Let's go over everything that the latest tabloids
have to say regarding Arsenal Football Club and also Mikel Arteta's press conference.
Ivan Toni's never been shy to speak. I would love him at Arsenal Football Club. I love
his mentality. I love how he plays football. Evidently he scores goals. In the striker
market where everyone's attainable depending on how much you're willing to pay. The fact
that, you know, it appears that Thomas Frank and the higher powers that be at Brentford
are kind of resigned to losing him when the time comes. Currently they're fighting relegation
and Buermo is injured and Weiss has gone off to AFCON. So it probably was unlikely he would
leave Brentford anyways. And a lot of you know of the FFP issues that allegedly Arsenal
are facing. Strikers are going to cost a lot of money. Do we have any money? I don't know
he's moving. I might be able to get him on the channel. He seems to never be shy to speak,
which I think is good. And also he's talking to anyone who will give him the platform people.
He has said once again, everyone knows that I would love to play for a top team and be
at the top of the leagues playing with the best. I'm a Brentford player at the moment
and until that time comes, whether it's this window at the end of the season or whenever
it does happen, then so be it. But right now I am a Brentford player and that's my focus.
You'd imagine he'd be sold in the summer. You actually can't rule out him running down
this deal people. Apparently many feel that Arsenal would win the title this season if
they signed him. I think you'd need a lot more than Ivan Toni, you know, assuming he
joined Arsenal. His new teammates in theory would have to also pick up the slack. Our
Teter has said we need to be a team previously that gets 100 odd goals. Ivan Toni is definitely
not going to do that from January to May. And it's probably 99.9% not likely to do such
people. And also, you know, there's many, I think it's very simplistic to just simply
say that, of course, a top striker that's going to get 20 odd goals in a season or what's
left of it, we'd have to adjust our expectations for Ivan Toni, you know, would make us better.
But there's a lot more that goes to that. There's a lot that Mikel Arteta needs to arrest
in terms of his tactics. And as he says, getting the maximum for his team, for instance, he
says what the front three did last season was more or less an anomaly. So in August,
what was being said there? Who knows? Maybe we could have got Ivan Toni in the summer
and sat on our hands for the months he's out, even though I don't really agree with
that. We definitely could have spent 65 million in better areas or spent it better in terms
of midfield recruitment. But here we are. Chelsea are also said to be interested. Brentford
are determined to keep him to fewer climb away from the bottom three. It would take
a bit of close to 100 million to prise him away in January. If you did that and won the
league, who cares? But is it the best way of spending money? I think every interested
party, which seems to be Arsenal and Chelsea primarily, every now and again, there's Man
United, Spurs, probably wants to see how Ivan Toni resumes his Premier League career.
And to be honest, staying at Brentford might be the best thing in terms of stability and
showing that you can get in Gareth Southgate's squad for the Euros people. So that's that
where Ivan Toni is concerned. Once again, apparently also actually very aware that they
can't get Toni this window for under 100 million. That was said by Ben Jacobs. Now, I'm sure
you would have seen today. The most exciting thing with Arsenal is that Emil Smithrow has
been linked with West Ham. There was even rumours that talks happened, although the
player himself and Arsenal are not really keen on letting that happen. Arsenal have
not backed Premier League approaches for Emil Smithrow. Aston Villa, Newcastle and West
Ham are among those who are interested in the 23-year-old England international this
month, but Arsenal have told those interested they want him to stay at the Emirates Stadium.
You could argue a loan would be great for him. Would he necessarily play at West Ham?
It looks like Benrahma could leave. They've had a couple of injuries. Would he get week
in, week out game time? Obviously, you learn under an experienced manager in David Moyes.
I think Smithrow, if he did start, you know, with the Bowens of this world, Paqueta, all
of those things, he would be a great addition for them. And obviously, he could get back
in at least a conversation for the Euros. If Arsenal were to sell him and he's playing
week in, week out and starring for West Ham, then it'd be amazing. I do think where Eddie
Nketiah, Rhys Nelson, Emil Smithrow, Aaron Ramsdale are concerned, it could be the beginning
of the end, potentially, in the summer, people. But it doesn't make sense, in my opinion,
to let Smithrow go in any capacity if we cannot bring a central midfielder in. He's clearly
a man held in somewhat high regards by other Premier League teams' interest in actually
putting down bids for different things. But, you know, West Ham's a good club to play for.
Newcastle have an exciting project. Aston Villa under Unai Emery's former manager. And
there's probably a couple of other clubs. It wasn't in the summer. Allegedly, there
was an indirect sort of approach from Chelsea. I'm not too sure in that regard. Nuno Tavares
hasn't had the best of seasons at Nottingham Forest and isn't putting himself in the shop
window. He could go back to France, allegedly, according to L'Equipe Marseille, considering
a move to re-sign Nuno Tavares. The Portuguese left-back is not against a departure as he's
only played three times for Nottingham Forest this season, which includes winning at Stamford
Bridge but three games in January. It's not what you want to see. Arsenal and Benzema
is a non-starter. It's not happening. We all knew that was the case. But there you
have that. Apparently, he's making his current employers furious. Xavi Simmonds, who some
reports say were the favourites to actually sign, will return to PSG this summer as there's
no buy option in the live-set contract, people. Be keen to see what PSG do within me. I think
he should be integrated into their team. If they are to sell him, he can play in midfield
and play in a number of other roles, including out wide. Obviously, being in your early 20s,
being a Dutch international, I'd be all for it, people. But it's going to cost a lot of
money. Now, Seko Fofana, when he was playing at Lons, a lot of people, including myself,
would have taken him. He's obviously gone to Saudi Arabia. Apparently, his club are
open to allowing Fofana to leave on loan. The Saudi club wants to reinstate Davidov
Spina, people, our former goalie, after his recovery from injury, and therefore have too
many foreign players, people. And apparently, other clubs in Saudi are interested in taking
him on loan. I mean, depending on the price of the loan, who would be against that? Apparently,
Seko, Benjamin Seko, a player I would love at Arsenal in the front line, has a release
clause active this summer for 43 million, which is cheaper than potentially Arsenal
and what have you. De Ligt, who's been linked with Man United and Arsenal, apparently he's
open to a move away as he's unwilling to be the number three or fourth choice at centre-back,
people. Which, if he was to come to Arsenal, would you necessarily start ahead of Saliba?
I don't know. Could Gabriel be the one to lose his place? I don't know. Chris Wheatley on
Timber has said, yes, some really big news for Timber. I think Arsenal fans have been
waiting to see him play, true. He's only played one game against Nottingham Forest and he's been
out since. Now the signs are positive. He's doing light ball work in Dubai on Arsenal's
winter training camp, which evidently is finished and we've got Crystal Palace tomorrow.
Joran Timber, good news for him. Great to see him almost back. There's still a long road,
but this is a big step and now he's doing light ball work and I'll tell you, we'll hope to have
him back sooner rather than later. I think everyone will. For what it's worth, Dharmesh
Sheff of Sky Sports has said Smithrow is focused on fighting for an Arsenal starting place and
unless something miraculous happens, he's not expecting to leave people. Allegedly,
the Guardian is saying we actually lie in our covering attack and Arteta is reluctant to let
Smithrow go without a replacement coming in. Arsenal have previously resisted a previous
attempt by West Ham to obtain Reece Nelson on loan. Onaner at Everton, his manager Sean Dice
has said in terms of speculation surrounding his future, primarily linked with Arsenal,
has this week been linked with Newcastle and Barcelona? It's just another story. Apparently
Tini is looking for a way out of Arsenal in the summer. A lot of teams are interested in the
which is good news for us. If he's not going to be a part of it, sell him and make money and move
on. Don't know what Sossiedad's plans are, people, but it appears that he'll spend a year in Spain
at them and keep it moving. Hatto is a player we've been linked to, but apparently negotiations
for a new contract at Ajax have accelerated in recent days. It's expected to be signed after
March the 7th. That's the day he turns 18 and it's obviously illegible to sign a contract for
longer than three years. A striker has actually left Arsenal. Mika Berrafi returned to the club
from a loan spell in Scotland at Motherwell, has actually gone to Austria and signed for
Bundesliga side Stuttgart for the remainder of the season. We wish the 20-year-old the best
possible start to his campaign and life to Australia. Currently, he has 15 appearances
this season, which were obviously for Motherwell, six goals and five assists, people. In terms of
Mikel Arteta, he's given his press conference, people. How long is it? We'll try and just focus
on the main part. Smash the like button, folks. Obviously, on our injury list, he said we still
have a few, unfortunately, on the list and we haven't managed to get back yet, but hopefully
they are much closer and some of them are in a better place than we expected. Individually,
I'm not going to tell you exactly how everybody is, but we're still missing a few. And in relation
to the Crystal Palace game, you know, you'd imagine that Fabio Vieira is at least illegible
to be on the bench. It's probably touch and go with Zinchenko's concern. And hopefully where
he said better than expected, that is in relation to Timber and Partey, not expecting to see Timber
any time soon, as stated. He then said if we are touch and go with a few, that's what I would say.
Obviously, he's going to say the trip to Dubai was great and it was a good time and a break
to get back to where we were and refocus, of course. On our opportunities in front of goals,
we need to continue with who we are. Defeats cannot make you lose who you are, because if you
do that, then you would never who you said you were. Again, I think Arsenal need to proofread
these things. We have to continue to be ourselves and there are certain details and marginal gains
that we have to improve and evolve. And the beautiful thing about my job is constantly
find the evolution of a team and what it needs to keep winning. On the extent of confidence,
that's a big factor. But if you don't produce the number of chances that we've created and to create
more than any other team in the league, we're not going to score enough goals. But I love the
players that I have, the way they work and the way they go about it and it will come.
He then further went on to say yes in relation to Jesus, but that's for everyone. We have to
share the goals. We are responsible for everything on set pieces. The goalkeeper is responsible,
the striker is responsible. And when there are throw-ins, everyone is responsible. Whatever
happens with that throw-in, we have to share that responsibility like we've always done.
On links with a striker, he said no, because I love the players that we have, because we can't
buy anyone. On his message to the players, keep doing what we're doing and the small margins to
improve, that's it. Obviously, he was asked about if he will manage until he's 76. I think the days
of Arsene Wenger and Alex Ferguson are probably long gone people. On whether he's got better at
dealing with defeat, obviously no manager likes defeat. He's not going to say anything in a
positive way about losing. He then said in relation to analysing our games, you have to look at it
objectively. In order to do that, you need to dissect the game in many parts as much as you
possibly can to understand what happened. And there's balance. In football, what you merit and
what you actually have are not always at the same level, which is in relation to the West Ham game.
And that's the Villa way. And that's been the case. But I think over the season where we are,
there are things that we can improve on and do better. And those are marginal gains to be
installed. They have to be installed in the last 10 days and we have to see them coming out.
On our run of results, he said a lot of the times it's not what you have to do. It's just looking
around and seeing how people behave. When I say that I love my job so much, it's because I love
so much the people I have next to me that are with me every day. Okay, we had a difficult time and
it's true we played in certain ways against big teams and we didn't win, but we know what we
produced. They are a joy to work with and they give me every reason to be super positive for
the second half of the season, people. And then on the psychological factors for our finishing,
changing certain things, analysing first of all myself and the coaches and what we can do better.
It's the most difficult thing to coach because it's so unpredictable. Times, distances, spaces
and opponents. They change from picture to picture and change immediately after the ball has moved.
We need to give them clarity and we have to take responsibility and we have to give them the tools
to deliver the best possible way. That's what we have to do. They have it in them. They know that
we have a lot of individual talks about it and it will come. And then he said, I don't want to give
responsibility to the players. That's why I'm here. The responsibility at the end to win and
to score three, four or five goals is there. The question we set is how do we score five goals
every game? That's the question. Are we expected to change it tomorrow? It's not going to happen.
So we have to make things happen. We have to be active and find solutions, people.
On Emile Smith's role, he said, I'm really happy with Emile. He's on the right trajectory now.
He's settled and he's training really well. You know that I'm not going to talk about any
individual situation. No change. Emile is Emile. He's got incredible qualities. We're really happy
to have him and what he needs now is chances. To all those desired qualities on the pitch,
in order to do that, we have to give him minutes, you reckon? And I must admit,
I know you can't keep every player happy. I know when everybody's in form, which was much of the
case of last season, at a point this year, there's not going to be too much widespread
opportunities. But when the form has been poor from everyone, especially the wingers and Smith
Rowe made his name out wide for us on the left-hand side, could you play him? Would you
not trust him? You know, and the man has to stay fit. There's times where maybe he could have got
an opportunity in the eight, in the 10 or the left-hand side. On Timbery said there's a possibility,
but at the moment he's still very, very far away from competing. That's the reality of it. I mean,
the man suffered an ACL. We're hopeful we can, sorry, we're hopeful that he can have an impact
at the end of the season. Some in the nose are saying, and even he'll be back even in February.
If everything goes well and it looks like there's a chance that that might happen,
but I think it's too early to make that call, which Arsenal have shown a reluctance,
even when you look at William Saliba to just throw people back in, which I think is a good thing,
people. Zinchenko is probably the last one that Arsenal fans want to see speaking,
smash the like button in relation to the Crystal Palace game, where he could be a doubt.
On one hand, I think we'll see Kyriot. On the other hand, I think there's a bit of gamesmanship
from Arteta in keeping us in the dark over players being available. When things don't work for you,
sometimes you just need to work even harder. This is the key, and this is what I believe.
Every single time we don't have success or losing, we need to show the right reaction. We need to
show our best performance because this league is so tough. It's going to be a tough game because
this team are very strong defensively. We know we need to react well and right after the recent
games. So I hope with our crowd and best performance of each player, we can have success.
Then he also said, we're trying to help each other every single time, and that's what makes
this team special because we feel like a family off the pitch and on the pitch. We're trying to
improve ourselves. So yeah, big up the manager, big up Zinchenko. Let me know your thoughts on
everything. Arteta, Zinchenko, if anyone has anything to say, what do you think of Cesco,
Simmonds, Ivan Toni, Emil Smith-Rowe potentially departing? Do you think we should sell him? Do
you think he should go on loan? Do you think he should get opportunities? Let me know your
thoughts. And as usual, I appreciate you listening to this around 15 minute video.
