Novak is with me.
Novak, congratulations.
That was a tough match against Alex.
But I could tell at the end with the celebration,
with that roar out there, how relieved you were.
You needed to let that out, didn't you?
Yeah, kind of.
Yeah, I was feeling really a lot of mixed emotions today on the court.
Not a great atmosphere to play in, to be honest for me.
But again, you have to find a way to win and I guess
accept the circumstances and conditions you're playing in.
You know, people basically
made noise between first and second serve the entire match.
So it is what it is.
You know, it's it's Grand Slam. It's a fight.
You know, of course, it annoys you.
But at the same time, you have to accept it and go with it.
But you know, what really frustrates me is when somebody is heckling,
you know, so I confront the hecklers as I did.
I think Kiggs loved that.
Kiggs, did you like that exchange?
He he was apologizing from far away.
And all of a sudden, there's absence of courage, you know,
when he needs to face me next time.
Yeah, I'll keep that in my mind. Thanks, Kiggs.
But Novak, I feel like he was struggling physically as well a little bit.
Are you feeling 100 percent sometimes?
I don't know the wrist a little bit.
I know you've got a bit of a cold happening.
He looked flat at certain times.
Yeah, I mean, look, I don't want to really get into the details
about, you know, how I feel.
It's definitely not playing or not feeling my best, you know.
So but I've been in this kind of situation before many times.
And hopefully, as I said on the court, I'll build as the tournament progresses.
I know what I need to do.
And the good thing about slam is you always have an extra day
of rest between matches.
And, you know, so hopefully things will go in a positive direction from here.
So since we have Nick Curious here, Nick, do you have a question for Novak?
And don't run away. Come a bit closer.
Definitely. Yeah.
So, Novak, first of all, you played a lot better than me.
If I was sick, I wouldn't have been able to win that.
But my question is to you, what's with you and beating Australians?
You're now 14 and one in Grand Slams.
What's what's wrong with you?
Why are you so mean to us, Aussies?
Well, who did I lose to in Grand Slams?
Oh, I'm not sure. I just got the record.
Have you lost to an Australian? I'm not sure.
You you beat me, but not in slams.
Deminor beat me a few weeks ago in in Perth.
So I really need I really needed this one.
Oh, Leighton, exactly.
I lost to Leighton back in back in 05 or 06 at the US Open.
He he chopped me, as you love to say.
The Aussies love to say that he chopped me big time in straights.
But yeah, I don't know.
I mean, I'm really not thinking about it.
But, you know, I have a good score, I guess, in Grand Slams overall.
So I'll keep it going.
Nick, you need to come back.
Yeah, Nick. Yeah.
Come back, man. Come back. Let's play doubles.
I'm ready, bro. I'm ready.
Let's do WWE in the crowd.
I'll jump in for you. I'll go first.
I'll get that guy out of here.
Oh, man. I'd love that.
Get a popcorn and watch that.
All right. We better let you go.
Thanks so much. Thanks, Novak. Thank you.
