Hello everyone today I wanted to share with you one of my tools that I consider very useful
A saw that is useful for our bushcraft team in survival situations or even in our all-terrain vehicle
Wood is essential for giving us shelter for making a fire even in the cold
Sometimes to make our ground easier to get out of the tracks
with a lot of mud and for working the wood we need a tool at hand
I always carry an axe in my car but of course an axe is very heavy and requires
a great physical effort to work however the saw is perfect it doesn't make
There is a need for a lot of physical effort and it is worked very well but of course carrying
In our team a traditional hand saw is almost impossible it doesn't fit in our backpack
but of course that's what foldable saws are for like the plander which works
Very good they are perfect but of course I see a small weakness in that they have only one
A hook a hook point because the blade does not allow us to work extensively
In one of my videos I was using a saw that has received many comments
what mountain range it was so I decided to make this video to give a quick overview
detailed specifically in the video I take out this saw which is from the American brand Minnesota
de Svend that's great it's a bow saw foldable and honestly for its small size
dimensions which weighs very little has become one of my favorites because now I'm going to tell you
To show how it is assembled how it works and what advantages it has
It is a folding saw that weighs about 300 grams and when folded measures nothing
43 centimeters so it fits in any backpack or in our tool box
vehicle It has a very clean and compact design For its use we release the
butterfly screw which has been in place for a while that connects the assembly and we remove the arm from
aluminum that has the cutting blade built into it We insert the piece
and we put the blade pin in at the same time A little help is needed
Push the lever down to properly engage it and secure the butterfly
screw so that the blade is properly tensioned and ready to work
As you can see it's not complicated at all it's very simple There are two sizes This one here
It is 15 inches which is 38 centimeters and there is another model that is a little bit larger
is 21 inches or 53 centimeters in width But its greatest advantage is whe
We get to work with him so let's cut some wood so you can see how well it goes
It works As you can see the Swedish steel sheet fits perfectly and allows us to move forward
And backward Just by watching the shavings it produces it's clear that it cuts excellently Its determination is
Very comfortable and the blade extends naturally from the handle so it can be used effectively
The entire sheet and our arm is not tired at all As you can see a perfect cut very easy and very
Quick The only downside I could find with Sierra Sven is when it comes to working with her
butterfly screw it can fall and get lost if not careful Therefore a tip always
It's better to be safe than sorry so having a backup in our team is essential Another thing is tha
When I bought it it came without a case Although it is well protected
I like taking care of my tools so what I did was make a homemade case for them
Keep it well protected and take care of it as much as possible And as always I like to tell you the
Price I couldn't find any distributor in Spain so I can't give you a reference
I bought it on Amazon and it cost me 30 dollars which is about 24 euros And if you prefer the Sven more
large it costs about 40 dollars which is roughly 38 euros In eBuy I have to say
Also I saw it for a very similar price That's all I hope you found it useful
We hope you enjoyed it Remember to like subscribe and as always click Show More
I'm providing links for you to check out and they are useful As always see you soon
