Rising Star: Qiao Jingyu 舞蹈新星乔靖宇 | Sama《萨马》

Sama dance is one of the traditional folk dances originating in Kashgar, and is included in the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of China.

He dances along with the harmonious rhythm; his lively and agile movements show the passion of the Uygur people.

He is Qiao Jingyu. A graduate of the Beijing Dance Academy, he is a member of the Chinese National Opera & Dance Drama Theater specializing in Chinese folk dance.

A Rising Star: Qiao Jingyu’s representative works include "Sama", "Tiger Dance and Music", "Camel Trail" and more, and has received international recognition at the Seoul International Dance Competition and the Taoli Cup.

萨玛舞是起源于喀什的传统民族民间舞蹈之一，已被列入国家级非物质文化遗产名录。 舞蹈《萨玛》以独具民族特色的萨玛舞，伴随着唢呐和那杂尔鼓的乐声和节奏，仿佛将我们带到了新疆维吾尔族的庆典之中。

他将身体与鼓点紧密相扣，律动和谐一致，通过萨玛舞活泼灵动展现了维吾尔族人民炽烈奔放的热情。 他是乔靖宇。毕业于北京舞蹈学院，现中国歌剧舞剧院，以中国民族民间舞为专长。

乔靖宇曾获得韩国首尔国际舞蹈大赛金奖及银奖、“桃李杯”男子独舞三等奖，主演代表作品《萨玛舞》、《彝虎古音》、《驼道》等。
